There's this girl I really like. Some other guy asked her to homecoming a bit back. Yesterday (this guy asked her a couple weeks ago) one of my friends who said she hated me I found to be lying, she was waiting for me to ask and I waited too long. Her and I haven't talked for a while; I talked to her and apologized for not talking to her for so long. The guy that asked her hardly knew her, so nothing should happen (she went with him because she felt bad). I'm asking if I still have a fighting chance or if I waited too long.

Hey dude, Couldn't understand your question. Anyhow, if you like her then just be brave once and ask her.

No, you've not waited too long. Call her, or ask if the two of you can talk one on one, cup of coffee situation. Just make sure there are no distractions, no friends or other classmates, etc. Go to a coffee shop that only old people go to.

Tell her exactly what you told us. Especially the part that somebody told you that she hated you so you backed off. But you really like her and would like to know what her feelings are. Does she really hate you? Are her feelings hurt and what can you do to make it better. Get her to talk and get her feelings out on the table. At the very least you could end up the best of friends, and often love grows from there.

Good luck!

It sounds like she is waiting for you to make a move...I am from a different generation (70's) and us girls had the hardest time waiting for the guy to make a move. Look for signs from her, if she is acting upset and you haven't done anything then she is probably pouting! If you are uncomfortable approaching her in person, write her a note. (I used to love the "notes") I might even still have some somewhere from way back then.

You may still have a chance. But I can't tell, pay attention to what she does when you're around. Like if she sort of shrugs you off when talking to her, then she's not all that interested anymore. But if you half, or her full attention, then you have a chance.

Good luck

Just ask her, the worst she can say is 'no'. If you don't ask, you'll never know...
