That wearing Caps all the time make you go bald?

Not technically true. However, your hair needs sunlight as much as the rest of your body, and over time, with continued wearing you may find your hair finer and duller. Plus, if your cap fits tightly on your head, the traction between the cap and your skull could cause alopecia areata - not just brought about by stress and illness, it can also be areas of baldness caused by constant rubbing basically! Just in the same way as when girls wear their hair tightly scraped back in a ponytail day after day, month after month, their hair can start breaking away around the hairline. Happy capping!

it's a possibility. It's also what's in your jeans. But wearing a hat all the time doesn't let oxygen get to your scalp and therefore kills your follicles. Don't wear one everyday because then you'll risk a chance of balding.

I am not sure if that is true but my father always wears caps but doesn't have a single strand of hair missing. You should ask your docter for advice.

You see my friend, i was told this as i also used to wear hats alot.

One thing i noticed that before i wore hats i had all nice silky black hair. Now at the front of my head i have a little patch of white hair, this is due to a lack of 'Melanin', this is the chemical that keeps you hair coloured i think, i was told that due to wearing my hat i reduced the blood circulation in my head and reduced the level of melanin.

So in conclusion my friend, i think that you should aviod, not because we are not sure that if it does or not, but just incase that you do lose hair, or colour!

Hope i helped.

I have worn hats for 40 years and only have a little receding hair on forehead so maybe it isn't true.

What nonsense.

I've worn hats since I was 10 years old.

I'm 87 now and not in the least bit bald.

And when I died I had a full head of thick, black hair.

If I read that statement and had a choice between true and false, I would choose false.

no! but it does keep the sun out and indeed helps protect the scalp . but don't wear them back to front --- it may have been cool but it doesn't stop skin cancer.
