Hope these give you some ideas, some are common and some are pretty creative. :)
My two dogs names are Cosimo (after my sweetie) and Poco, which is Italian for little. Both my dogs are little guys, 10 & 13lbs respectively.
My friends who have dogs are named Askim (one of my personal faves, "What's your dogs name?" "Well, Askim!"--Asker can be used for a female), Diogi (pronounced and can also be spelled D.O.G., he also has a cat name Ciati, or C.A.T.!), Max, Ganja, Nanook (a.k.a. Nookie), Bob, Samson, Yorkie (a Yorkshire terrier obviously), Garnet, Cocoa, and Pumpkin (good name for a pup this time of year).
And no, I haven't made any of these up. I don't think I could if I tried! LOL :)

Well, my dogs names are Lexie,Max, and Margot. Max's name wasnt always Max though...it used to be Bruiser. Depending on the way you dog will act also gives you some ideas for names. My hamsters name is Bentley, but that would be good for a small dog and dalmation are only little for so long. And if you want to you could what 101 or 102 Dalmation and listen to the names from there. I dont know much about you dog but here's a list of names...
Barley
Sampson
Delila
Spot (an original)
Daisy
Tara
Annie
Pooh
Eeore
Tigger
Brandy
Elmo
Sally
Max
Lexie
Margot
Bruiser
I cant think of anymore but i hoped i helped with you name for you dog.
Good Luck!

we used a map of the US when we named our rottwieler. came up with bisbee (its in arizona). i always thought that was a cool idea. personally, i usually wait to see what the animals disposition is before i come up with a name. i have a dog that follows me around (shadow) and a cat who sneaks up on you (phantom-from my son's suggestion) if you are getting from a breeder, they are usually named after its parents, but that is only on paper (like michael on the birth certificate). good luck and remember that dalmations are very active dogs.
