i guess i'll be stupid here, but i don't get it. what are the illegals "stealing" that would brand them automatically as thieves?

there is a remarkable amount of ignorance and vitriol floating through these replies. (1) watch what happens to our economy when the cheap labor force is unavailable. It's already happening in some locations. (2) if the issue is not to grant "free" anything to them unless they're permanent residents and are paying taxes on wages earned, then let's tighten up the labor laws. once they pay taxes, that entitles them to services, like it or not. (3) perhaps some of you should spend some time living outside the usa to get a better appreciation for why so many people want to come here. i'd be much more worried about muslim extremists than illegal immigrants, but that's just me.

YES, it IS extreme and unfortunate. Many illegals come to N. America out of extreme desperation. You judgemental ones might do the same if you couldn't feed your children or had little hope for a decent life in Mexico, Romania, Albania, Africa. They arrive and take any kind of work possible - and they work hard.
Your proverbs are well chosen and appropriate in the face of the mess our world is in. A global mentality is needed as opposed to the small mindedness of "Me and my country, take, take, take". Sharing the planets resources and helping each other is the only chance for the survival for our species. Every man is your brother.

For a supposed Christan/Judeo society there is an awful lot of hate out there!!!
These are people trying to survive!!
Yes, they broke the law but can' we try to make things better.
Embrace the people already here. Make them a productive member of our country.
Help our fellow countries to become more productive...If the jobs were in there own country they wouldn't come here.
Realize that countries are just lines drawn on a map that have been changed thousands of times in the past. We are all people of the planet Earth. It's time to realize that and stop all the conflict and hatred and try to make things better for all. I'm not talking communism here just a healthy democracy that is free of prejudice and corruption.

The government and the judicial system is comprised of laws that are for the good of ALL people not a selected few.You can not choose which laws you will abide by and which ones you will break. It is imperative that we obey mans laws because to disobey mans laws the punishment is immediate .So those are the laws you must live by.The bible is a book, holy to some ,not to others. So until your God appears out of the heavens and says its alright for illegals to cross the borders illegally,I'm trusting in the laws of man.

YES it is extreme most of the ones I know would give you the shirt off their back, and help in any way they can. would not take a thing from no one . work for what they have. so I HOPE THE REAL THEIVES the ones that trys to take away from the ones that is trying to make a life for their self learns a lesson. they really need to be prayed for. and I HOPE GOD FORGIVES THEM ON JUDGEMENT DAY, BECAUSE NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE YOU WILL BE JUDGED ONE DAY. WE ARE ALL GODS PEOPLE AND UNITED WE WILL STAND

not extreme at all...only the truth.. they are only poor because they took the easy way out..it's easier for them to walk across our border & steal services from American taxpayers that to stay in their own country & work hard for change....but then any one with a brain knows illegals ONLY work the system hard - for some reason they think that's manual labor...

Any generalization of such a large group of people is very extreme. Legalize them. seal the border and establish a feasible guest worker program. This the most powerful country in world history. I'm sure we could tackle all three tasks at the same time and move on to more pertinent issues.

Here are some more of king solomons wise words to his people. Proverbs 10, 23. "It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom." Proverbs 12. 8 "A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised." Again from proverbs 12. 15 "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise." and, proverbs 12. 22 "Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight."
Proverbs 6. 30 "Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry; 31But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house. " proverbs 6 . 16"These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. 20My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 21Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
22When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. 23For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:"
Proverbs 29. 15"The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
16When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall. 17Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
18Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. 19A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer. 20Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him." and to end; proverbs 29. 27"An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked."

Yes, the Bible is a good guide for living in harmony, but like any tool, it can be misused to the advantage of a wicked person.

It is not extreme to call "illegals", thieves.
Let a stranger 'sneak' into your house,
use all your goods and services; see how long you will put up with it.
