Ok, I am very addicted to snack and the internet. And I heard that they are just choices. I re-think, and,....yeah, I guess it's true, like I can choose not to open the bag of chips, not to turn on the internet.

But it's really really HARD. I think I can control myself not to touch that bag of chips. However, the internet it's a hard one for me. I need to go on the internet everyday, to check emails, etc. The *problem* is once I get on the internet, I cannot get off. Or I cannot control how long I will surf the net.

I know I addicted to snack and internet, because I am bored, etc negative feelings. So I need to find something to replace snack and internet? how? I have very limit options, due to money, time and accessbility.

How addicted I am to the internet? I've been surfing on the net since last night, it's now 6:26am in the morning. I hate myself for doing this.

I don't know if I have ocd or not.

But I feel very uncomfortable if I don't get to use the internet for a day.

You and about half of America...lol...It is so fun to sit and surf and eat food...as I am doing right now lmao....look...if you're having fun and not hurting anyone..why deny yourself of some pleasure? Do you like to go for walks? is there a room you can redo? something productive? I think you're being too harsh on yourself...I have a blast on line and I sure do love my peanuts and beef jerky and diet soda...yep, sure is fun...good luck and enjoy!

I guess its all about control.
I don't think it's very serious because two of the addictions you have wont necessarily kill you, however it may limit you from doing other constructive things.
I also like the internet and find myself on it a lot(always answering yahoo questions LOL)
I am wondering if you might have OCD(obsessive compulsive disorder) since you are finding some relief by going on the net
and eating the snacks.
I guess you need to find some break and gain control over all this.

The snacks are not good for your health(all the time) and sitting down at the net could make you put on weight, etc.

Try, what I do. I just get up and switch everything off, walk straight out the door and go for a brisk 1/2 - 1 hour walk around the block.
You need to re-charge your batteries and get some fresh air.

Do you live with anybody? Maybe you could ask someone to help you but hiding the snacks or hiding the computer(just a thought)

If it is truly worrying you, maybe speak to your doctor about it.
You may be depressed and just need to talk to someone about your feelings of sadness, etc.

I wish you well....

I would think you should ration your time with snacks & the internet.

Let it be your reward for doing other things.

Picking up the house 1hour = one snack or 1hour on the internet.
Or maybe 1/4 or 1/2 hour.

Taking a walk - Duing the dishes - Take out the garbage -Laundry
Just keep adding things you wish to reward your self for.
Maybe even saving up rewards for a long session on the internet.

Being on the internet is adictive, you can go every where & there is so much to see. I know. I do it all the time too.

Surfing the Internet and snacking is perfectly normal. However, if you are doing this and nothing else it could lead to a health problem. I think if you have the weekend off from snacking and Internet you will be fine. The Internet, booze, drugs, etc is a way to fill an empty void you feel. Your problem isn't as simple as you think. What is REALLY wrong?

Unplug the computer and don't use it for a week. Make a choice to do that. Get a rubber band and put it around your wrist and every time you want to replug the computer, snap that rubberband and it will give you a jolt! Everytime you reach for a snack, snap the rubberband. Better yet, don't buy the junk food or bring it into the house.

Yes, it is a choice. Go take a walk when you feel like you want to use the computer. Go volunteer. Anything healthy. Too much of anything isn't good for you. "moderation in all things". Godloveya.

There are some rules to live a healthy life.
1) You should do enough exercise regularly.
2) You should take balanced diet everyday.
3) You should study all subjects of interest.
4) You must have a regular sleep of 6 hours.
5) You must work for 8 hours for survival and then spend remaining time with internet.

Next time you surf, check out www.hufa.org, especially the low blood sugar link. Internet addiction is still an addiction/compulsion/obsession, and might be due to low blood sugar. I know I have a harder time breaking away if I don't have breakfast before I sit down (like right now 6:32 am PDT).

Food - especially protein - is especially helpful in controlling (not curing) internet and other addictions. Soy nuts make decent snacks and have a good amount of protein (Trader Joe's).

Everything in excess is not good for us. Participating in your community either by volunteering or getting involved in the sports programmes available may be one answer for your dilemma. Changing your snack to fruits, vegetables, healthy nuts or just less attractive foods for your palate may also be a solution to your snacking problem. Becoming more actively involved in things of interest to you are the best solution to both of your problems. Remember that every problem is only that if we ourselves are unwilling to look for a solution.
Going on the Internet may be necessary to check your e-mail and to see what may be new, but spending the whole night on the web and not getting the rest your body needs is unhealthy.
You must learn to look for other past-times that will be just as captivating, but more productive and healthier for you.
It is up to you to decide that you can and that you will find a solution to your entrapment. Don't hate yourself, but learn to love and appreciate yourself. That in and of itself is the solution.

u can beat any addiction...replace it with something else..if u think ur time online is not productive...find an activity that will be more productive to you....and for the snack...bag of baby carrots or grapes....or celery sticks would be more healthy than the bag of chips
