Have you ever had any dealings with them you would like to share.Good experience or a nightmare.

For me I have had problems dealing with their Customer Service in Detroit over a warranty issue. They refused to except responsibility over a defective part and would not fix it.Later when my truck broke down all of a sudden they want to fix it after I threatened them with court action under the lemon law.

Have you ever had a similiar run in with GM you would like to share? Please do. Sorry about the long question!

In 1991 we bought a new Pontiac Trans Am with t tops...the drivers side top leaked every time it rained...Pontiac resealed it 3 times and it stilled leaked when it rained.. we contacted the butter business bureau and took Pontiac to arbitration over the leaking top... we won and Pontiac bought the car back...I will add other than the leaking t top it was a great car..

The other answers are right. Usually warranty issues are handled at the dealer level. Contact GM customer service and my experience is they will bend over backward to fix it. GM usually will contact the dealer for details. If you have a bad relationship with them, it will not help your cause. Have another dealer look at it. Just a word of advice, when you deal with GM Corporate, threaten to start buying a Toyota and they will bend over backward to help you. GM sent one of my customers a $3000 Goodwill certificate on the purchase of another GM car because of that threat.

The way our GM works. is that each dealership is owned independently.
Any problems with your dealership is NOT GM as a corporation. get what I'm saying?

GO to a different GM in your town. They will still be able to warranty all your stuff (right?) And may have better custormer service.

Funny cause most GM service, the writers get paid for customer satisfaction

Most times with Ford and GM the problems are at the dealer level.
If you contact Ford or GM corp. thru e-mail,the problem usually gets solved fairly quickly.
Dodge is another story.
