My two sons suffered from the worst acne the dermatologist had ever seen. One of them went on a course of Roacutain (I'm not sure if that is how you spell it) and it cleared up dramatically. The other refused to take any medication and took part in a research experiment involving diet. He had to eliminate or reduce most carbohydrates from his diet.....particularly sugar, bread, pasta, biscuits, cake and rice. I think milk and dairy was also controlled. He could not drink cans of drink and had to watch the sugar content of everything he ate. After one week his skin also cleared up dramatically. He still had oily skin though. Occasionally he would enjoy a carbohydrate binge - pasta, carbonated soft drink and lots of bread. His skin would break out a couple of days later. My daughter - who had oily skin and acne to a lesser degree - kept hers under control by using a medicated face wash twice a day. She also moisturised her skin - as moisture is NOT oil. You can dry your skin out too much using harsh soaps and washes and actually add to your acne problems. A good moisturiser is Sorbelene and Glycerol - you use a tiny amount mixed with water on your face after cleansing. She also cut pieces of brown paper about the size of a small envelope - which she used to 'blot' her face when it got oily during the day. The brown paper actually soaks up the oil - removing it from your face. I believe there are commercially produced products for this purpose now. She also used a light dusting of a translucent face powder. All three of them have fantastic skin now. One of the benefits of having oily skin is that if you stay out of the sun - you should age really well!
I hope this helps!

You can put on some powder daily to get rid of the oily skin. And as for the acne, try rinsing it with warm water every night. Remember - no pulling at those pimples.

Tetracylcin. It's an antiboitic perscribed by a dermatologist. It works. I've been taking it on and off for years as a teen, young adult and middle-aged adult. Also avoid the following foods: chocolate, nuts, dark sodas, ice-cream, pizza and potato chips.
