Get away from whatever it is that is depressing you. Sometimes the same thing everyday starts to feel like a prison almost, you start feeling trapped, smothered, worried and hopeless. Whether it be your home, work, bills, love or health. Your health starts to slip mostly from no activity or lack of energy. Without Prescription Medicine it is so so hard, but it is "doable". You have to leave the thing or place that is haunting you and surround yourself with happier, newer, different reasons other than the same old same old!!!! If you are not in constant worriment of stuff in general, you will feel better and be more active physically and mentally stronger... You will actually want to!
If you can't get over the great hump, on your own it's OK, but you should see your doctor about getting a Prescription for something like Prozac, Zoloft etc. there are lots of kinds... I found the Wellbutrin to be the absolute best for my anxiety and depression.
Don't be ashamed, there are so many people around you that are on meds. You don't even know about. It's not like doing drugs as some people label it. It is help with coping , because like is so so short, you should spend it being at least somewhat happy don't you think? We are here and we must make the best out of our time! I am so much better, but I have been on meds for about 7 yrs. I have to say I probably would have not exist if I had not gotten help. But on a scale from to 100, 100 being the best I am 80% which ain't bad at all considering my age, my kids growing & gone, my health & loss of loved ones. And the horrible way I was feeling years ago. I am doin good. You should try to do it without the meds first, to do that you have to get an "I don't give a damn attitude" stop worrying about senseless useless things, & be able to destinguish between things that are actually worth spending your precious time and thought on!!!!!!! I think that is the KEY>>>>>

Hi,
I've been dealing with depression for many years now and medication and therapy has helped me tremendously. I guess I've also had physical symptoms such as neck pain and headache. They're now selling a medication for depression and the physical symptoms that come with it. I can't remember the name of it but the commercial for it is on all the time. Your headaches could be stress, also. I know from my experience that I am easily overwhelmed which not only give me headaches but also makes me depressed.

First - seek the advice of a professional.

Food - serotonin makes you feel good, look up sources of this which include turkey, chicken and avocados.

Exercise releases feel-good hormones.

Wake up to uplifting happy music and read some jokes in the morning.

Keep busy - it takes your mind off bad stuff.

Wear bright colours and try to remember the good things rather than dwell on the bad.

Watch comedy films.

Write down words with a happy theme on a sheet of paper - like happy fun exciting good great excellent - just keep doing this until the page is full - you reinforce this in your head.

Tell yourself in the mirror that you are great and life is good, feel that you have control over your life.

Avoid excess - quit nicotene, caffeine and eat small meals often. Avoid heavy meals that tire you and strain your body.

Move your body don't let it go down and keep your head up.

Do not focus in what provokes your depression, focus in good feelings and opposite to the ones provoke it your depression.

Review what you said to your self, if you notice somethings that push you down removed from your thoughts and tell your self positive things and remember you are unique.

Ice bag for 2 minutes by 5 minutes until is gone.

Treat your head ache with Acupuncture first.
Fear and failures, criticism, increase the depression. Be a bold and hard working person. You should have a self confidance. You should avoid some of your habits for which you are criticised.
You should follow meditation or Ram Nam Japa.

Hey, I know the best cure (in fact, I always use it myself :) ):

"Just Don't Take Your Problems Seriously".

here's why:

"99% of our problems are made by our own heads (not by other people). So, if we could use our heads to solve those problems - that would be cool. Thus, use your head to solve all your problems :)".

Really! Depression is just a way to run away from your problems, but they will pursue you. But, if you do not take them seriously - they won't be interested in you, and they will run away. :)

If you are having a chemical depression you need to see a Psychologist.If it is stress related try a therapist to work thru it.Good luck to you.Everyday is a new day and a opportunuity to enjoy that day if you so choose.

depression is anger turned inwards so get in touch with your anger, you are probably a passive people pleasing person, be asserive that is stand up for yourself without stepping on the toes of others, NO is a complete sentence and Hell no is a paragraph, they have to be.

try to relax occaisionally.if it really gets that bad go and see your doctor or GP, they aren't allowed to tell anyone about your visit so that it will be completely confidential. they might be able to refer you to someone who knows more about depression, give you something to chill you out and relieve the depression and they might be able to give you somthing for your headache as well. ♥gd luck♥
