Your dog sticks his head out the car window because he LOVES the smell of the outdoors!!
But not your own breath :-)) It's true. Mine don't like it either when I blow on their face.

animals do that. They love the outside and not your breath! They can also see you doing it and they think you are threatening it. And it makes them into a bad mood for a short period of time so they really want to bite your head off!

They want to smell the other animals around them, check out the landscape, and to keep from getting car sick. My dog loves to hang out the window and look for other dogs, and trees. He gets so excited when we pass large trees, and other animals.

In the car, he's getting a lot of scents on the wind. When you blow in his face, he smells food.

DOGS STICK THEIR HEADS OUT TO CATCH ALL THE EXCITING SCENTS. TRY BRUSHING YOUR TEETH OR FIND A SKUNK SCENT YOU CAN USE FOR YOUR MOUTH.

Why can't we go more than a couple of weeks without reading this question again and again?
I thought this was Yahoo ANSWERS, not Yahoo BAD OBSERVATIONAL COMEDY.
