When I met my boyfriend, I thought he was cute. He had a nice smile. But as I got to know him (discovering his integrity and humour among other appealing qualities), he just got sexier and sexier to me. How is it that a person's nature alters our perception of their appearance?

I don't know how it works but I know it does. And boy do I appreciate it.
When my husband and I first started dating, he was a real hottie and I had well shall we say lots of extra baggage. People used to look at him and then look at me and wonder how a gal like me got such a great looking guy like him.
He had and still has a great personality
Now fast forward 23 years. I have a lot less baggage and lets just say he has gained some of my lost baggage. Now people look at him and then look at me and wonder how a guy like him got a gal like me.
So even though he is a big guy and I do see it, it does not matter. Because I know what type of person he is on the inside.
Yes I am helping him loss weight.

In my opinion, what's inside always makes them sexier, appearance is only skin deep....the REAL sexyness comes from the inside, that's why we fall in love, it's not how they look, it's who they ARE that we fall in love with.

what you see on the outside is not what you get on the inside. if someone has no personality or cant make you smile, laugh then you wouldnt want to be with that person. if they make you feel stupid and ugly you shouldnt want to be with them. and they could be the most gorgeous guy in the world. but that pimply faced guy with the glasses and no body shape won your heart with who he is the outside not what he looked like on the inside. it all makes sense.

I totally disagree! I know women that have great personalities, women that I like very much, but because of they way they look I would never date them.
