If it's anywhere between 96 and 100 degrees, there's probably no problem. However, below 96 degrees, you need to consider doing something about hypothermia. Here are some interesting search results, taken from web forums where people discuss hypothermia:

Take your son to the doctor. Low temperature and blood pressure is considered healthy by many physicians, but obviously you want to check to see if this is part of your son's natural chemical make-up or the result of some underlying disorder.

What is his temp? How low is it? If his temp is under i would say 96 degrees then call his doctor or call a local hopsital ER and ask what is the acceptable lowest a kid's temp can go. Or call your local 24 hour pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist.

If his temperature was always like this he's ok. If not take him to the doctor's office. He'll be ok one way or another.

Um, I would take him to a doctor to see if he's sick. Maybe he's a little cold so feed him soup or something to keep him warm..
