It is supposed to be five for health, wealth, fertility, longevity and happiness. It is also supposed to be an odd number which, like the bride and groom, can not be divided!

Hoya,i am a wedding organiser and as such i make all the bouquets, posies, headdresses, buttonholes, wedding favours etc. There are different ways to do you wedding favours and not always in a box,try voil in the colour of your wedding with some thin matching ribbons,i usually put approx 6-8 sugared almonds in each one.

There are no set rules as to how many of anything goes, use your best judgement. I think one small candy of your choice with your names on it at each place setting is fine, also a small heart shaped box (these can be purchased at your local crat store) filled with M&M's for example would be nice, and if you are on a tight budget place them at every other setting, as most guys would not want a container. You could even place a mirror with 3/4 candles of graduated sizes on each table and throw some candies of all sorts (wrapped of course) all around the table with some glass beads, or confetti, or sparkles, just have fun with it and don't sweat the small stuff, you'll drive yourself crazy. Congratulations and Best Wishes To You and Your Fiance'.

you could do several things. If you have little mints, quite a few, 8 or 10, if you do truffles 1-2, you could put seeds in for people to plant a flower or tree to remember your wedding, the seeds of your love! lol, search some ideas on some wedding sites. They have lots of info on guest favors. Good luck!

It depends on the type of sweets, for example coloured jelly beans you would need a good handful, but sugared almonds or chocolates only a few.

5 - to represent health, wealth, happiness, fertility and longevity. Apparently it used to be 7, but I can't find what the extra 2 represented...
