Everyone thought there were weapons of mass destruction at the time of the invasion in Iraq, INCLUDING high ranking Iraqi military officers.

And there WERE weapons, what remains to be seen is if there were at the time of the invasion.

As for what I think of the 98 dead? It is unfortunate, but militarily insignificant. I think most of the opposition to the war comes from the fact that we didn't win it quickly. The US Military is so powerful, that no nation can go toe to toe with it, which is why most of the targets of insurgents are innocent civilians. Bringing about security in Iraq is so much more important to making sure those 98 did not die in vain. Freedom in Iraq can change the face of the middle east. My men and I are invested in its success.

Stepped up attacks to try and influence our elections, like the terrorists did in Spain . It's very hard to defend against a suicide car bomber , fortunately they can only do it once .

We've recovered over 500 cachets of nerve gas filled artillery shells , gas land mines ect. Weapons Saddam swore he didn't have . A few hundred Scud missiles that could carry chemical warheads as far as Isreal .

Several Billion dollars in counterfeit US currency .

I have yet to hear how the Democrates would do anything different in Iraq , other than Tuck their tails and run . Letting the terrorists win control of vast oil revenue to bankroll more attacks on us .
Control of an International Airport to fly planes out of .
Control of all the tanks , aircraft , artrillery , Missiles , And thousands of tons of ammunition we captured .

Wonder what kind of damage a 727 loaded with High Explosive could do to a city ?

I guess we'd just have to go back and clean it out again , in a few years .

1st - WMD - we know they were moved - President Clinton in interview 2 weeks ago said he knew there were WMDs. So if one lied, so did the other & recently. I read the article myself.

As a Mother of an Army Officer, I would appreciate if you did not celebrate the deaths of someone's son or daughter that is willing to die for you freedom.

98 deaths this month is still way below Vietnam's deaths. Too many but low for wartime.
Vietnam lasted 11 years & had an average of 438 deaths a month totaling 58,158. Department of Army figures.
These beautiful & loved by their family men & women did not join for the pay or for the benefits, they joined for love of country. My son took a $40,000 a year paycut to defend you & his best friend is a Harvard graduate attorney - so I assume he took a big paycut.
Your lack of respect for the military should embarrass you. I am sure your mother would be embarrassed for you, as I am.

I think that's so bad, this young women and men lost their life's so call "Freedom" and war against "terrorism". That's stupid. I'm just wondering what you need to tell to their children, how you want to explain. I remember the one show I just watch yesterday by the German TV about the injured soldiers and died soldiers in Baghdad clinic. It was unbelievable, I can't not sleep the whole night. I'm just wondering how the an others feeling about that, they start the whole s......

Ok, lets see; in the Civil War, where we fought against "each other," 23,000 soldiers died at the Battle of Shiloh in 2 days, 51,000 soldiers died at Gettysburg in 3 days, and 50,000 men died in Grant's month long campaign to Atlanta. So how many have died in Iraq?

I think that the terrorists are stepping up attacks to influence American elections, and from the tone of your question, their method is working perfectly.

The WMD's?

Are those the same ones that Kerry, Kennedy and Pelosi were also talking about because everyone believed that they were present in Iraq. What makes you think that they were not real and were just moved to Syrai and Iran when the invasion was beginning, just like most of the aircraft in the Iraqi Air Force?

I am tired of the Democrates and Republicans playing politics on this issue. We need both parties to agree on a plan, that will work. Because, "Stay the Course", and " A gradual Redeployment", is not going to work. Rumsfeld needs to go, and we the White House need to support Generals who have a differing opinon then them. All of the Generals who attempted to fix this mess have been taking out of Iraq, out of frustration have retired, or simply ignored.

98 is a lie. Many more Americans have died, but they are spreading the release of the deaths out to save face. 300 American soldiers died in one attack on The Falcon Ammo Dump. Go to Rense.com for further info on that story.

I think with veterans day around the corner you should thank and honor the men who died so that you could sit anonymously behind your keyboard and safely type asinine questions
