Hi there !
Prevention is better than cure - like the use of mosquito nets, repellents etc etc..

The next stage is : Early diagnosis and early treatment !

Usually treatment for Chikungunia is symptomatic therapy and antibiotics !

Its a viral infection for which the only medications required are paracetamol, rest and monitioring for any rare complications(meningo encephalitis, haemorrhage). There is no vaccine. Ideally measures to prevent mosquito bites(nets, repellants, clean environment)

There is no specific treatment for Chikungunya. Vaccine trials were carried out in 2000, but funding for the project was discontinued and there is no vaccine currently available.
