Being white and being British helps you in neither case. More important are whether or not you have been offered a job in the states, whether or not your immediate family member has a job in the states, whether you have desirable employability skills, and whether or not you have volunteered for service in the US military.

Being Mexican or Canadian would help you out immensely, so you might want to go there first. Otherwise, sign up for the green card lottery.

Yes it will be very difficult. I have a suggestion...move to Mexico and get a very good tan. Then all you need to do is make a run for the border....easy peasy and you got it made. Don't bother with that pesky old department of immigration that everyone else has to deal with...just do it the Mexican way.

Just get a tan, learn spanish. Maybe grow a mustache. Then go to Mexico. Anyone can go there. If you are an Arab, Hugo Chavez will help you out with fake documents. Then just walk across the border with an elephant and a mariachi band.

If you are a novice who knows quite little if any Spanish but you will like to learn much more then you have to consider a course https://tr.im/fYRe8 the on the web program of Spanish
