You can pet them, I always have when my cats have had litters. I had a cat that always tried to put them in the cabinets that are down by the floor. I think all cats hide their kittens weather you pet them or not.

typically even as the mother isn't around the kittens will cry in the adventure that they are very youthful. it may also be that she hasn't ever had kittens till now and doesn't comprehend what to do. frequently cats have good instincts yet I have had cats that did not have a clue what to do. i'd go away her, and the little ones on my own a minimum of for now. you don't want to get your heady scent on them and performance her abandon them. in basic terms placed out some nutrients and water for her, and do not pressure her into something. that is impotant for her to experience that her, and her kittens are secure. possibly even as the kittens are sufficiently old to be weaned you'll locate them and attempt to tame them so that you'll locate them homes. I have achieved that in the previous. that is necessary to attend about 2 months although. good luck!

You can gently pick them up, making sure that Mama knows you'll be gentle, and stroke them from day one. The best time to socialize kittens to adults is from 1-6 weeks, according to animal behavioralists.

if ur cats behaving like dat then that means she doesnt trust u or is either an anxious mother .
try 2 build the bond of trust between u and the cat and she will let u touch them. perhaps the mother is being possesive.
dont worry.
