Hi, I have just received my credit card bill which doesn't show the details of a credit card refund I was given today.
What should I do? Pay the full amount on the bill, or pay the amount minus the refund I was given today?

Pay the full amount. Some companies take up to 3 billing cycles (3 months - 90 days!) to get a credit to your account. If you end up with a credit balance on your credit card (owning a negative amount of money), you can call the credit card company and request that they cut a check to you. If you're going to continue to use the card, you'll owe that much less later on.

Call your credit card company and ask them. Don't risk your credit or a penalty fee by taking Yahoo! Answers advice :-)

While you would generally be OK to just pay the amount due MINUS the refund, you don't want to risk the refund taking a long time to post or your credit card company having a special clause in their account agreement that causes you trouble.

So again, be safe and call their 1-800 number and ask...and get the person's name and/or a reference number for the call.

If it helps, I always pay my bills in full by direct debit. Despite what it says on the bill, they always take the full amount LESS the refund.

My guess is you should deduct the credit from the full amount on the bill and pay that - or, you could phone their customer services first to make sure.

Good luck.

You should call your cc company and find out what the current balance is, or pay the amount in full. It can take a long time for credits to post to your account.
