I would like to sell cookie mix, etc. jars to people for charity. Do you think this is a good idea? Do people buy them? Would you? Has anybody experienced selling cookie mix jars? Thanks!

I have one of those jars in my pantry and I think its almost a year old. I got it at Christmas time last year. I think that some people will buy them and use them for small, quick Christmas gifts for the teacher or a neighbor, but not much beyond that. Believe it or not what I have seen better as a fundraiser is the good old bake sale, or at least some version of it. I think it helps if you come up with a specialty item to focus on, such as a decorated sugar cookie with a symbol of the charity you are looking to raise money for. Then don't skimp on the ingredients (real butter, cream, real vanilla). Make people talk about your fundraiser like they do about Girl Scout Cookies.

no i don't no anyone who sells that

I would buy that because the tubes or box mix for cookies, you buy at the store all taste the same and are too sweet. I guess I am used to homemade cookies--i am a spoiled child , lol, we cook from from scratch at home mostly and it tastes better.

I have never sold them but have given them to my teenage nieces.they liked them because all they have to do is add the liquids, makes cooking easier for them. They were about 13 or so.
