The Bible supports the idea that those who oppose Christians are clearly in opposition to God.
When the Apostle Paul (at that time he was called Saul) was persecuting Christians, Jesus appeared to him on the road to Damascus and asked, "Why do you persecute ME?"

It's not a bad question, but the answers here show how shallow is the thinking of most "atheists" today. You believe you are not fighting against God, obviously - but whether you actually are has absolutely nothing to do with what you think. That's a matter of fact, and all the posturing and bravado in the world won't change that. If one goes into it with Christian presuppositions, then one would say "yes, you are fighting against God whether you know it or believe it or not." If you go in with atheist presuppositions you will say "no, I am trying to get people to believe the truth." It's sad that most atheists - or the neo-atheist trolls we get here on Y!A anyway - are seemingly unable to think through their own philosophy so little.

Is Christianity really the largest religion in the world? Or is it merely the largest in the West?
And even if Christianity were the largest religion in the world, my experience is that what "everybody" thinks is usually wrong. The majority opinion nearly always originates in propaganda, and kept going by social intertia. People tell each other what the propaganda told them, as a means of showing off how much they "know" and thereby gaining monkey status. In the human herd, mass belief exists more or less as a standing wave in a string does.
That's what I think. You did ask, you know.

Being against Christianity isn't necessarily being against God. People may just object to the dogma or the practices or the specific outlooks of the particular religion.
If you're talking about atheists then no, they're not fighting against god... they don't believe in any god against which to fight.

I wonder if you really know as to who is against Christians! Please look in the history and Find -who killed Jesus.
Muslims are not against Christians because we too believe in Jesus( prophet of God ). Muslims are against the false belief of Trinity (1+1+1=1 ? ).
Jesus called his God on the Cross - "Ellah" and we Muslims believe in the same God and Call "Allah", therefore we cannot fight against our own God.
You always refer to unauthentic Books of Bible(s)which many christians also not accept. You rely on Paul instead of Jesus???
We have difference of opinion but we are not against Christians.
We have The Quran (The Logo of God)which lead us to follow Muhammad and Jesus therefore we cannot accept any Paul,John or Peter against Jesus!!!
I am sorry to say that Christians are not following the true teachings of Jusus...Find the Truth!

Christianity is NOT a religion; it's a general term referring to a great MANY religions, ONE of which --- the Roman Catholic Church --- IS the biggest in the world.

Fighting is profane. God wants us to love, that's the word.
It doesn't say we can kill if we need to, if we kill killers I'm not sure that makes us any better in His eyes. But we don't know really, we try our best to love God above all things, and our neighbors and families, that is the only thing in life to accomplish.
