you are quite right let me try to explain, the people of israel understood very well what being under a curse meant, their writings are littered with it,to transgress the law was such a curse and quite often the hypocritical pharisees would label the people as such for not adhering to their impossible laws.
this notion that the jewish hierchary were innocent of crucifying jesus is utterly ridiculous, remember that they cried ,his blood be upon us and our children etc, thus they placed themselves under a curse.you cannot lead an innocent man up an alley and have him murdered by someone else without being responsible in the first place.
now the jews of today have very cleverly found a way to circumvent this and its called antisemitism,no one who is not a jew, is allowed to speak even the truth about their actions, and have you noticed how muslims are now doing this too? yet other nations have at times admitted their mistakes but never the jews, strange or what?
you will get a greater understanding of how they operate with the gentiles or goyim as we are called by them by reading Elizabeth Dilling`s book The Jewish Religion and its influence today, it is available as a pdf download on the web.
in the talmud, and I mean the uncut version, the vilest things are written about Jesus and his holy Mother, one of these is that Jesus is being tormented in Hell by being roasted in boiling excrement, dont take my word for it, read yourself.
Listen please I do not hate the Jews, as a follower of Jesus I dont have that right but I most certaintly hate what they have done,
and I firmly believe that having killed their Messiah they are cut off and need to seek repentance as a a nation.

God told Abraham that by means of his seed ALL THE NATIONS of the earth would be blessed. The Israelites were god's protected and chosen people in the earth, however god must have known how thnigs would work out.
it was prophesied that the stone that would be rejected would become the chief cornerstone of the new covenant. The high Priest Caiaphas knew that it was prophecied the Christ would be killed.
After Jesus resurrection the way was opened for people from "gentile' nations to have a share in the new covenant which did not please a lot of the snobbish Jews.
I do not think god got angry for crucifying Jesus but as prophecied the temple was destroyed in 70 A.D.
It was always god's intention that every human should be able to enter in to an at-one-ment state with god by way of the ransom sacrifice of his first-born son Jesus.

Crucifying Jesus was certainly an act which did not conform to God's expectations. However, this leaves open the question as to why the persecution of Jews continues when other transgressions expired after an appropriate price was paid. Recently, "Jewish Girl" posted a reply to Alan Vince's question about whether the Jews would crucify Jesus Christ again, indicating her outrage about the suggestion that Christ might NOT have deserved to be crucified. If this person, who appeared on this forum for quite some time seeminly in the role of a speaker for the Jews correctly indicates what the Jews feel about Christ to this date, and if that is the reflection on their entire culture, then, I believe that it is the culture as such that one needs to look at, when questioning the persecution of the Jews.

As a twenty first century knowledgeable Jew who has reason and self reliant questioning, I even have seen the e book the christians use and understand that there are such quite some flaws in it that no clever individual might settle for it. it quite is a typical christian ploy to declare Jews are blinded while that area in Isaiah talks approximately GENTILES, no longer Jews. Your restating the data into "What if it have been real?" does no longer exchange this. So, i'm going to ask you this question. in case you studied the Torah and located many stuff that disagreed with the e book the christians use that are popular on your ideals, might you reject it? Oh, and you're wrong that no Jewish prophets have come. it quite is sparkling you do no longer even understand the definition of a prophet. perchance you may get the basics down formerly suggesting Jews are no longer clever. you're ?? ???. actual, as a supposedly clever xtian, you will understand that. Oh, and in case you think of it quite is insulting, then you definately do no longer realize it. it is an elementary fact of actuality.

God's wants all of mankind to come into a special relationship with him. He long ago....as soon as Adam turned his back on the creator....began a process to return mankind to his original purpose for the earth. That process involved a "special" relationship with a family for several reasons, (one was to provide a messianic King to take charge of returning the earth back to order). That family was Abraham's family and turned out to be the nation of Israel. It was a 2 way agreement. The Israelites many times violated their end of the agreement and not once did God violate his end of the agreement. Once that "special" relationship produced a messiah, Jehovah God no longer needed to place the Israelites in an special position. Now anyone can approach God through a relationship with the Messiah, (Jesus) and come into a "special" relationship with God. The special news of this was first preached to the Israelites, then later opened up to all people. In this way God is not partial to anyone. He provides the information so that anyone can approach him and serve him. You could say now, (as does the Bible) that there is a spiritual Israel made up of "every tribe and tongue". The Messiah, (Jesus) himself officially stated that the special relationship with Israel had ended and even accurately foretold the absolute destruction of Jewish Jerusalem. It occured in 70CE. All records were destroyed then. The few inhabitants of Jerusalem who were not killed were scattered all over the then known world. The "nation" which exists today does not represent the Kingdom of God. It has no temple. It was put there by man, not by God. The Christian restoration prophecies are in regard to a new covenant or agreement between God and a loyal Spiritual Israel and results in a heavenly kingdom or government which will restore the earth.
NOTE: It is a serious mistake to think that the secular nation of Israel today is favored by God over any other people or that they have a God- given right to their land in Palestine forever. Any restoration prophecies which apply to literal Israel apply to the "kingdom" of Israel and were fulfilled long ago when they were restored from captivity to Babylon. Today we see "Christian Zionists" meddling in poilitcal affairs and adding to the Chaos in the middle east which will backfire in a large way.

>>"In 70 a.d. the fall of Jerusalem to the Romans occurred; less than 50 years after Jesus was crucified. "<<
... the romans already HAD jerusalem before that point...
and yes, jews annoyed god, and came back, repeatedly.
part of the covenant was that God would always be there, and the nation of israel(jews..) would always be god's chosen people.
that is, that no matter how much they strayed, when they came back God would take them back.
now, maybe YOUR God would fail his end of the bargain, but the Jewish God would not.
and why do people not realize that by Jewish standards... and the prophecy believed by jews... Jesus was simply not the messiah, and that by jewish standards someone claiming the things Jesus is believed by most to have claimed... EARNED the death penalty.
to those who think Jesus was the Messaih of the jews... and that he will return... how do you know it will be him? most I've talked to belive there will be some universally self-evident vision or something that it will simply be undeniable.
... guess what many jews believe will happen when the messiah comes to begin with? bingo. a universally self-evident world-state-change.
I don't understand why people think there was the remotest thing wrong with wanting jesus dead. by jewish law of the time he had commited death-sentence-worthy crimes many times over, and some of the worst ones possible.
ESPECIALLY if he claimed and said many of the things Christians think he did... by the law and standards of the time, he could not have been more deserving of the death penalty.
>>"one of these is that Jesus is being tormented in Hell by being roasted in boiling excrement, dont take my word for it, read yourself."<<
utter nonsense. particularly since THERE IS NO SUCH PLACE IN JUDAISM!!
but really, Jesus did commit one of the worst sins jews could commit. that being claiming divinity, Idolotry, and drawing people away from God.
for example the Jewish Messiah was *NEVER* supposed to be god incarnate, a sacrifice, or any more divine than you or I.
besides, if your right you'd be pretty boned if he hadn't been killed, wouldn't you.
>>"God lost alot of favor with the Jews way before Christ came here. Like when Moses and then Joshua were leading them through the wilderness, and they complained, and bickered, and mocked God. And even served false gods along the way. Then they eventually crucified their promised Messiah, only making things worse for themselves. God is patient and longsuffering, YES, but even He has a boiling point. "<<
the God you believe in is not worthy of my worship, devotion, or even respect.

I guess you forgot these
Exodus 31:17
It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested.' "
Exodus 32:13
Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: 'I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.' "
Deuteronomy 28:46
They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever
Leviticus 26: 44-45
Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them or abhor them so as to destroy them completely, breaking my covenant with them. I am the LORD their God. 45 But for their sake I will remember the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought out of Egypt in the sight of the nations to be their God. I am the LORD.' "

The Jews are God's chosen people, just like He has had His hand on Israel and always will. Jesus knew He was going to be crucified, and it was by the Romans.

Matthew 21:42 - 44 Jesus saith to them: Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? By the Lord this has been done; and it is wonderful in our eyes.
====================
Therefore I say to you that the kingdom of God shall be taken from you and shall be given to a nation yielding the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it shall grind him to powder.
