My dogs play "animal hospital" all the time!! they love to do nose jobs and face lifts on their toys!!!
They dont do it to the ones that have labels on or make a noise for some reason!!! maybe try them with ones like that!
good luck

Its normal for dogs to want to do that because it gives them a feeling of thier normal instinctive hunting nature. Make sure that the stuffed toy doesnt have any buttons or things on it that will make the dog want to rip them off. I tell my dogs that thier stuffed animals are babies and to be nice to the babies and when ever I see that they are starting to get alittle ruff with the stuffed animal I tell them not to hurt the baby and i will pick the stuffed animal up and hug it like it was a baby then give it back to them and tell them to take care of the baby. They have this one stuffed winnie the pooh bear that i put a vibrating thing in it that says Honey have you seen the cat and then it starts vibrating and a cat starts screaming and then another pooh bear that sings a song when they push on its tummy. They love both of thier babies and have had them for almost a year now and they push the tummys by themselves to make the bears talk. I have had to sew up a few little holes but thats about it. If I give them or they come across a new stuffed toy and I dont tell them that it is a baby it will very quickly end up all over the place. I have dobermans and dobermans really love kids so maybe that is why they take good care of the toys i say are their babies. You never know it might work with your dog too. It wont hurt to try. Right.

He may be taking the stuffing out because he is bored or wants a sort of "adventure", a toy with a challenge.Dog that have lots of energy need to be "mentaly challenged" - give them a sometimes hard, but rewarding challenge. I have a 2 year old weimaraner so i know how it is. ;) Some of the best toys i have found are Kongs - Use them if you need to keep your dog busy(fill it with peanut butter!) You can find some other good toys like a ball that they have to roll to make the the treats fall out. Hope I could help!
God Bless!

I dont think you can. Its instinct like when they make a kill they pull the insides out in the wild so they do the same to stuffed toys

Hi easy answer is if he likes to do that then don't get him stuffed things that he can pull out the stuffing coz he will always do it if he's in the habit of shreading his soft toys...Regards Jake

You can buy toys that don't have stuffing. My dogs used to do that too, and eventually outgrew it

My dog does that, we wound up buying her kong toys and she loves them. Occasionaly, we get toys out of the claw machines for her to destroy. We pull the little beads and eyes off first though. Kindof a special occasion deal. :-)
