Oh, that is SO EASY (to answer and to make!). Apples, plums, pears and blackberries in a hot fruit compote. You can either stew these with a little sugar (and maybe brandy) and serve with ice cream or custard, or you can make a crumble. The straws and raspberries you should (at this time of year since it's after-season) make jams. The blackcurrants? Well, the sky's the limit. You can make your own jelly to serve with game. You can use them as decoration for meat and game dishes and desserts. You can make a blackcurrant tart or cheesecake. Or you can make your own creme de cassis with white spirit and sugar syrup and have home-made kir royales every Sunday for 3 months!

wish I have YOUR garden :)

Here a Plum Pudding recipe that I saw but havent tried yet:
INGREDIENTS

* 12 plums, pitted and halved
* 1 cup white sugar
* 1/2 cup water
* 2 tablespoons tapioca
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 2 1/4 cups all-purpose baking mix
* 3 tablespoons white sugar
* 2/3 cup milk
* 3 tablespoons margarine, melted

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. In a 2 quart baking dish, stir together plums, 1 cup sugar, water, tapioca and cinnamon. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. (Or 15 minutes in microwave.)
3. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
4. In a medium bowl, stir together baking mix, 3 tablespoons sugar, milk and melted margarine to form a shortcake dough. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto baked plum mixture. Bake in preheated oven 10 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.

Or BREAD PUDDING... best served with your homemade ice cream.

* 2 apples
* 8 cups bread cubes
* 3 eggs
* 1 cup half-and-half cream
* 1 cup white sugar
* 1/2 cup milk
* 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Peel, core and cube the apples.
2. Lightly grease a 13x9 inch baking pan. Cover the bottom with half of the bread cubes and then sprinkle on half of the apples. Repeat with the remaining bread and apples.
3. In a large mixing bowl combine the eggs, cream, sugar, milk and cinnamon; beat well. Pour this mixture evenly over the bread cubes and apples.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Serve hot.

OR
you could do just abt anything with this recipe...

INGREDIENTS

* 2 cups diced apples
* 1 cup sliced banana
* 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
* 1 cup chopped walnuts
* 1 cup vanilla yogurt
* 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

In a bowl, mix the apples, banana, strawberries, and walnuts. Fold in the yogurt. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Gently stir just before serving.

ENJOY!

Oh that sounds lovely, we go to a really lovely pub in the Yorkshire Dales for a Sunday lunch every other week, we don't bother cooking one just for the two of us these days, but we do sit down to some sort of meal still.

how lucky to have a garden!!! I'd make a nice fruit salad for breakfast, and a nice crumble for lunch. If you have tons of fruit, I'd preserve it in jar. My favourites are jelly (which you can use to glaze a fruit tart) and chutneys (to serve with cheeses)...
