I have never heard of that.
I do know the point behind Hibernation is to eat the most fattening things so when you wake up your still fat and alive and fat.
Some people see Honey and they go " SUGAR! It's full of Sugar",..
But Honey does have things in it worth while and I'd say it's not as bad as Sugar. I would guess though it's bad for your teeth and you'll wake up starveing because you will be craveing more of the tasteyness.
So my guess is it's not good for "burning fat" but it may be good as a substitute for some other sweets.
I think some Diet Teas have a touch of Honey to make your body go " YUMMY! More good stuff,.. more,.. must look through this stumock for more,.. MORE MORE,.. oh crud" and I know there are sleep teas and cold/flu teas with a touch of Honey.

No it won't help fat burning and weight loss at all. Honey is pure sugar - therefore it is very high in calories. Just like any type of food, if you eat before bed it will add fat to your body because you will instantly store that energy as fat. I've never heard of this before - but it sounds like a real daft idea. Even weight loss specialists suggest that you don't eat too much honey in your diet as it is so sugary. Let alone straight before bed - that is a big no-no.

Fat can be reduced in many ways but ulitmatley it gets reduced if there more agni/fire element in your body which helps in burning the all types of toxins (in today's terminology and excess fat is one of the form). So, agni can be increased by doing exercise (any one that appleas you and you will do regularly. None is good/bad Yoga, laying any game, walking, etc). Coming back to your question, now. Yep, certain foods can also help increase fire/agni in your body provided they digested and assimilated in your body. If you cannot digest the fod that you eat however good it may be as per modern medicine it will create toxins in your body. That applies to honey, too. So, if you want to burn fats using honey try using it with water and lemon. Drink this early morning empty stomach after you had good motion. It will help as I said if your metabolism (anabolism - assimilate energy and catabolism - use/spen energy) is right otherwise it will not help. This applies to all forms of exercise and foods.
