Actually it is to do with Satan.
Lets compare the two: Halloween vs. Samhain
Halloween and Samhain ( pre-Christian) are both celebrated on the 31st of October.
Samhain is celebrated for 3 days, Oct. 30-Nov 1st. Christians who celebrate Halloween, the next day celebrate All Saints Day also known as The Day of the Dead. A day the church uses to honor dead saints. The bible says nothing of honoring the dead but the churches do just like the pagans on Samhain who honor their dead ancestors on the same day.
On Halloween, children and adults dress up as witches, wizards, vampires, the dead, butterflies, comical costumes etc. On Samhain, they dress up too ( as you can see she is already dressed like a witch) . They dress up as butterflies, businessmen, magical costumes or comical costumes. Sound familiar?
It may seem like fun but your basically giving yourself and your children up to Satan.
On Halloween people celebrate by having parties. On Samhain they have parties like the Witches Ball and perform rituals.
Halloween uses skulls to represent the dead as well as Samhain. To add to this, the witch says the skull is a good symbol and doesn’t represent death. Ever seen a poison bottle? what symbol is on it used as a warning of death if consumed ? A skull and cross-bones. Also the grime reaper aka death. How is it depicted? Skull and bones. Wake up people! Satan is deceiving the masses.
Wake up to the truth that’s right in front of you. Look at all the evil that is celebrated on that day but Christians feel there is no problem celebrating such a Satanic Day. Open your eyes and rebuke all these pagan days of worship. Have no part with them. They all have origins before Christianity and there purposes have never changed. I hope this has giving you more insight into the true purpose of Halloween.

Nah man, I don't know where you got that from.
Halloween, and its older spelling Hallowe'en, is shortened from All-hallow-even, as it is the evening before "All Hallows Day." Also known as "All Saints Day".
It in fact has nothing to do with Christianity and is a Pagan celebration.
No Satan involved.

Hallowe'en is in reality All Hallows Eve, which is the night before All Saints Day. People believe that on All Hallows Eve, the spirits of the dead roamed free before ascending into heaven. It is all a myth. Over the years, Hallowe'en has evolved to what it is today. We have forgotten how it really originated.

That 'baptist' site referenced above is actually a satirical site and claims nothing.
Halloween started long before Christianity started kicking itself around, and the Christians referred to it as 'satan-oriented' as another way of saying "Dem Pagans are devil worshippers! Follow us instead!"

rofl. I don't know how these things get started.
No, it isn't.
Halloween is also called All Saints Day, All Hallows Eve, and Samhain.
It's the day of the dead. The day when the living remember the dead.
It's also the most powerful day of the year. The day when more supernatural things happen. It's the day of the witches New Year.
