how can i change the spell language in windows xp?????

I have windowsXP and microsoft office on my laptop, the english version, but i need to write in German with all the extra german letters, how do i change the language, please help me cuz i need to write something for school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

START (menu)
Control Panel
Date time and regional options
regional and language options
from the drop-down selection select German (Germany) or another version of german.
press
APPLY

EDIT: one more thing, if your default language is english there may be a little ICON on the right hand side of the blue bar at the bottom of the screen with EN, this is English as your default language, click this and select german DE? from the list of languages.

i wouldn't advise a full blown version of XP in german unless you know it quite well. other wise all the menus will be in german and it will be confusing. :-P

to change the default language of your office version you need a german mui language pack. again difficult to obtain.

however if it is just typing a document in german proofing tools will be sufficient for your needs. the link below go to the proofing tools site @ microsoft. proofing tools provide spell check and a thesaurus in german.

if you have no cash go could always try babel fish this translates many languages including german
