Do like everyone else does, just say you are a Christian. Christian has not meant actually following Christ in hundreds of years. The term has become totally distorted from its origins.

What is it you want and why? Do you just want people to think you are Christian, or do you want to dedicate your life to Christ, because this old system of things no longer holds anything you desire?

You can ask forgiveness of Christ, but will you be doing it based on accurate knowledge of his teachings, or will you want someone to tell you what to believe?

Is your heart desiring a change in your life, because you feel there is something missing?

Are you willing to set aside those things that make life fun now, for what you "may" gain later in the resurrection?

To be a real Christian you have to first believe in God and that Jesus is the Son of God. You have to be saved and born again. This means you repent all of your sins to God and accept Jesus as your saviour. After this you must follow Gods ways which means to obey the commandments. We are all sinners and we must pray and ask for forgivness everyday. You also have to do things to glorify God, such as praise Him everyday, treat people with kindness and love (which can sometimes be hard), but we have to. Also you have to forgive your enemies, etc. Read the Bible! It will tell you all. The Holy Bible (KJV) is the best one. Find a good Minister that will help you and once you are saved, get baptized.

This is how I became a Chrisitian, so it is only my opinion. There are others out there too that can help you.

Well religion is effectivally a belief system so technically you just have to believe in Christians values to be counted as one.

However, christening is seen as a traditional act of becoming a Christian. You could try that.

christianity has many sections, good luck of chosing one. just worship God alone, and believe in all of his prophets. God has the power of forgiviness, he is not in need for anyone to die so he can forgive, and bad people are not equal to good people. and if people still asking for repent, then what was the point of jesus death?
