Its rare to get past a certain level unless you have either A levels or you go for officer training.
I have known people excel and be promoted fast, but others just dont do anything. It depends on you.

hi
it depends on what corp and trade your in, my husband has been in five years in december he started off as a craftsman in basic training, then he was promoted after basic training to lance corpral for his trade training, he should be getting promoted this year or early next year. it does depend on trade and corp mostly,

Are you talking about COM or NONCOM if noncom, it all depends on the soldier himself, he will have to show leadership skill's, and of course pass his exam, with commissioned officer's it depends on how much cash you have.
