The God the father that most refer to that was adopted from the Jews is commonly called Yahweh (YHWY) but the Jews stopped calling him by name a long time ago as the name is too sacred. Earlier the Jews worshipped a father god called El who has various combined names like El Shaddai and El Ohim and the name. IsraEL is derived from El. Both YHWY and El were originally Canaanite deities that the Jews ( who were ethnically very similar to Canaanites) adopted. Originally El was YHWY's Father. These 2 gods became confused and combined by the Jews. Jehovah is an Elizabethan mistranslation of YHWY
