when you install, MS asks "how would you like to install" the default choice is "let me run programs from my CD." if you chose this, it will have to find the program everytime you open it. if it's on your computer, it will simply display an annoying install screen. Also, this happens if you are on a network.

I find that Office has many components, if you add an application that uses a component that was not part of the original install, you may be prompted to install that component. My word app did not work with the scanner originally and I had to install the portion of the app that was associated with scanning. Might not be what your talking about.

it comes of some reasons like:
u might hv uninstalld any options
or else corrupted
or somtimes u might hv installed...anyother version along wth the existing old version
bettar uninstall full
and reinstall it
It might happn if any other progm is also..corrupted!!
