Personally if you are going to look after your dog and love it can i please suggest you get and english springer spaniel? They are THE most beautiful dogs in the world. The problems you can experience with this breed though is smelly/itchy ears and slight irritation and dermatitis (normally caused by couch grass) The best way to look after the ear problem is every 3-4 weeks dab some baby oil on a tissue and clean the inside of their ears. This breed is very loving and almost human like. You will find everytime they look at you your heart will flutter. I have 4. They come in black and white or liver and white (or you may get a tri colour with the addition of tan eyebrows and other markings) They are easily trained and are very playful. They need a lot of attention. Exercise is up to you. they will take as much as you give them or as little. Diet is important, I feed mine 1/2 cups of advance biscuits for breakfast and dinner. Springers always make you believe that they are starving. Dont ever feed them from the table they will never leave you alone. On the other hand choose the breed that is right for you. If you are a blokey kinda guy, get a staffy, if your old get a small dog, like a cavalier king charles or a cocker. (cockers are more sooky than springers but can also be snappy if you dont raise them properly) If you have a big back yard or would like a working kinda dog go for a border collie, or a retriever. If you want a completely different dog to everyone else go for an italian spinone, or a nova scotia duck tolling retreiver. Check out www.dogzonline.com.au for some pictures of all breeds.

None. Save an animal. Dogs are like people, they are all different. No one dog is perfect for everyone, find the best one that fits your lifestyle. That way, you and the dog will have long healthy lives together. I suggest a golden retriever, they are good with kids, don't shed much, and aren't aggressive.

There are alot of factors.

Your not going to get along with just any dog. Plus your age, activites, family,... etc. All factors.

Your going to get really dumb answers on here like " A PITBULL" which is illegal or " Accept JESUS" which doesn't relate but... well that's how things have been.

Please tell us more details like your home, your family (do you have a spouse or kids), your work, your travel, how much exercise you get, how big your yard is, what size dogs you like.... etc.

If you have your mind set on a pedigreed dog, I find that the Australian Cattle Dog (also known as Queensland Heelers) are one of the most loyal and loving dogs to their owner. Keenly intelligent and of medium size, they make great companions as long as you have the proper amount of time and energy to devote.

I have an animal sanctuary. My animals are either abused or neglected so I pick the one I can save. You would be surprised at how they forget their abuse and give back love.
