My friend is soon fifteen and she still sucks her thumb when falling asleep. Show her pictures of how deformed teeth can get when the thumb is always there (which is true) and tell her how uncool and immature it is. Or paint her nails with her favourite colour and tell her that she can't suck it or it will go away. Other than that, it tastes horrible too.

Punch her as hard as you can in the chin? No more thumb to suck.
Ask yourself this question. WHO OWNS THIS PROBLEM? NOT YOU! Let it go. It really isn't your problem. She will stop when she is ready and it will only get worse if you bug her about it. Wait until she gets interested in boys. That may just be enough to get her to stop. Does she do this when she is at school? Does she get teased mercilessly? Or does she only do it when she's at home? Hmmmm? Food for thought. She will have to live with all the bs she gets if she doesn't stop. Peer pressure is very powerful.

one of my girlfriends had the habit of sucking her thumb randomly up until we were done grade 11....it's one of those things she's just going to have to learn to let go of and get over

Put tobasco sauce on her thumb and stick it in her mouth or tel her she'll get buck teeth if she keeps sucking her thumb. either way work

Reward her on her way to stopping and do more things with her so she wont be able to concentrate on suckin her thumb.

my son is five and sucks his thumb we been putting a band aid on it he doesn't want tosuck the band aid so it is teaching him not to do it

well that had happened to my little cozin too.
wen she is sleepin or something...sray some find food spay that taest really bad....try its for a few weeks snd see if it works!!...it did for mu cuz...lol....^_^....good luck!
