When convicted of a DUI in a county you do not live in, do you still have to perform community service in the county that you offended?

This is in North Carolina.

In CA, they transfer your service, to make it easier on you.
Just tell them that you have a full time job and no free time, making it impossible for you to travel.
But then again, I don't know how North Carolina is. Good Luck.

Theres a charity that will allow you to pay off your community servicehours my brother and a friend used them how it works is if you have 8hours it equals $80.00 you can make a donation threw there website andthey send you out your paperwork, however I don't know if there hours have went up far as community service but the last time we check it was between $10.00 to $12.00 an hour we looked into this charity first beforemaking a donation to make sure they were legal and yes indeed they are a501c3 nonprofit charity they are called Uplifting Kids they are a charitymy brother was soooo happy because it kept him from going to jail, thecourts was not trying to offer him an extention so he paid them off heemailed and called them and someone got back to him right away he neededthis paper from the charity like asap and they charged him for theovernight which between 40.00 and 45.00 dollars and an expedited charge of$50.00 , they did a professional letterhead and sent it out to him, he wastoooo happy and he took the paper to the courts and everything was ok theyare also court approved all over the world I couldnt be more pleased withthis charity they saved my brothers and his friends freedom from going tojail, they also have alot of other programs if you can't afford to pay thehours off you can do a fundraise you can reach them by via email atemail@upliftingkids.org and also by phone at 1-855-581-9111 and therewebsite is www.upliftingkids.org call them they can help you and if youneed a professional letterhead urgent then let them know, I wouldn't trytheses other places online they are not legit this is the only one i couldfind for my brother that is legit and not a scam and they followed threwwith a tracking number and we signed for the document so check them outhowever you can't get no refunds if you decide not to go with them. Theyare doing great things for people all over the world and kids. Check themout they are even open late hours they help with court community serviceand also school community service as well, you can also do a fundraise foryour hours they have alot of pretty cool programs they are great oh not to mention they are also on the Irs website as well to verify this charity.

Don't call them unless you are serious about paying off your hours right away because the Ceo is a very busy lady, but she is very nice and will do anything to help anyone in need of help they are open pretty late on the weekends and the weekdays.

That is all up to the district attorney and judge. There has to be a way that you could perform some kind of service for the state in general within your own county. That is something you, or your lawyer, will need to ask the district attorney. Good luck.

penitentiary should not be on the table for DUI's the place no accident or dying became in contact. it would without delay be substance abuse scientific care, hundreds of hours of community service and fines. there is not any element in pointing somebody in penitentiary for a stupid mistake and/or a substance abuse issue.

There is a legal Charity Called Uplifting Kids they help people all over the world they are a 501c3 Noprofit that help people that have last minute or current hours to complete either before going to jail or the due date or after there due date, this organization was soooo great they helped my brother and my cousin out all they had to do is make donation to the charity for the hours they were do so my cousin had 8 hours to do so he paid them $80.00 so its ten dollars for every hour, also they did an overnight because he was about to go to jail it was pretty costly but it was well worth it same thing for my cousin that lived in another state they helped her out to and kept her from going to jail they mailed a letterhead out to her address for her to bring to court or rather give to her attorney and she never had any issues anymore she and my brother was soo happy they are the only charity i know thats out there they can help you , you cant complete hours online its not legal to that and this charity verified my family hours , its not worth getting locked up call this charity they are even open on the weekends as well, they are legal i verified them with the irs for charities and i verified there ein number before my brother made a donation, this charity is very nice and they do alot of great things for kids and the community so why not pay off your hours instead of going to jail , and they help out with school hours I'm in college and i had to get some hours done and they helped me with that of course all of this took place at different times but we remember this charity so everytime we was in a jam we used them and the outcome was great and legal , remember they do overnight for your court or school papers its an extra charge to expedite it to you and an extra charge for overnight they will call you with a tracking number this charity is great man they got all kinds of programs that can help you in your situation you can also fundraise off your hours and do a fundraise just give them a call i see alot of people on here that need help and rather then them call the charity to find out what they can do they end up going to jail hoping for an extenstion and that dont happen that often because my brother almost went to jail for not doing his community service hours the charity contact information is upliftingkids.org there phone number is 1-855-581-9111 ask to speak to the person that handles community service hours or school hours. They work with any kind of hours school hours, community service court hours it dont matter give them a call again there open on the weekends make sure you have your school infomation ready or your court information ready with a case or docket number because they can't do anything to help you unless you have that give them a call today Good Luck!!! I wouldn't trust no other charity but this one the other ones were flaky i didnt like them.

why did you ask the same question twice? if you are from a different country-they issue a warrant in the US-when you come into the country again-you will be arrested for failure to appear in court.

Just quit drinking and driving. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. Do your community service and shut up about it!
