I fear the deaths of the people I care about, but I'm not too worried about my own death. After all, I was dead for a long time before I was born and it never bothered me then. But what do you think?

By saying that I was dead a long time before I was born I just meant that I wasn't alive. Nothing more. Another way to think about would be that once I'm dead I won't be around to get upset about it.

I'll have to ask this again sometime. What a response!

Anything that is born has to die and so I am not scared of dying, its the way I die that concerns me, I dont want to be old and be a dependent on my family, a quick death would be nice.

You were dead before you were born? I'm not entirely sure what that means....Wow. You totally got my head spinning. Do you mean dead before you were "born again", do you mean as in reincarnation, what?

At any rate, it's normal to be afraid the people you love will die. I personally don't really give it much thought, about my own death. When it happens, it happens, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it.

If I was in a war situation I don't know how I would feel. I am not worried about my own death . The world got along before me and will get along without me.

I have seen many people die over the years. I feel for their families. When I go I hope I'm remembered with smiles and not tears.

We are only afraid to die if we feel we have unfinished business to take care of. If we can accept that each of us, even children, whose life depends on God's plan then it doesn't matter who would die first. What counts is we will be all in equal footing long after death, rich or poor, young or old, healthy and infirmities - we will all return to where we came from. This line of thought makes life more acceptable and less painful.

I feel the same. I am not worried about me at all. But I would like the people I know to have a long happy and fruitful life.

I think you have a sound philosophy about being dead a long time before you were born. That's a good one...I'm going to have to chew on that one for a while.

what a great Q, and i like the other things u said too. in the words of "Robbie Williams, Im not afraid to die, i just dont want to." The only thing i like about getting older is the wisdom and experience which comes with it, i hate thinking about anyone or anything i care about dying, that sux............keep on keeping on.

I'm only afraid of going too early. I'd like to fulfill some kind of purpose in life before my time comes.

nope. ive been given so much already its amazing to think about all i have had to experience. little things--truly appreciating them. tastes, sounds, people i know and love. i have been given so much, if i were to die right now itd be okay. i could accept it, i would like to live more to experience more but if God decided this is all the impact ive been allowed to make, thats ok and there muct be a reason. i think we're afraid more for others because we arent inside their mind and we dont know if they have come to the sae terms we have. maybe. but i feel the same way.
