Sounds like she was worred about it herself so you fussing made her even more nervous. Mom's you gotta love them!

Of course mums care!!!, and yes sometimes they get more upset with a person they care about!!
In the example you quoted, probable when a mother goes on holiday there is some expectation that she let her hair down and have a good time.
That wasn't the case, it left her stressed and maybe she thought you would say 'I told you so' and gloat. So she puts up a brick wall and attacks you first. Also she doesn't want to be reminded of the crap holiday she had and wants to chill out by withdrawing from the family. Plus mums can sometimes think that their offspring are not really caring or thoughtful, just saying words or actions like saying sorry and not meaning it.
If you say or do nice things for someone, you should try to do it at other times, when things aren;t so bad in her life and not expect anything in return.
Coz end of the day shes had to care and love you all your life without getting anything in return.
You only get one mum, so try again, adults find it hard to share their adult fears and burdens because it makes them weak as humans. Trust me its a cover, she get over her feeling sorry for her self and bounce back, build a relationship with her when shes OK!!!!!!!!!!!! Agony Aunt Demi LOL

She was still probably feeling a bit 'off', if she's been ill for quite a few days it will take her a while to get back to her normal self, this will also make her a bit 'tetchy' as well, so don't take it to heart just have a quiet word with her when things are quiet, let her know that you are concerned and allow her to tell you how she is feeling. hope she feels better soon.

of course they care your mum was probably worried abou being in hospital and when you where fussing over it made her panic and also mums who have a go at you all the time are mums who care for you
just remember the saying those who are the harshest on us are the ones that care the most

Its a mothers right to nag. and she had a go, because mothers cant handle when they need to be looked after. Yeah she cares for u, and u shouldn't have to care for them, it the way it goes, she meant nothing by it.

well your mother is just angry that she mised her holiday , but she has no right to take it out on you , tell your mother how you feel, she will understand, i dnt think that she had a go at you because she cares , she was just moody & disspointed, give her sometime and then talk to her.

She was probably more worried about you than herself, just go with it. As a mum she knows what she is doing!!

too right. but in this case, she could have just been over being fussed over seeing how she was in hospital...she probably just needed some space
