Why everybody forget all the special characters that Spanish needs?

¿Dónde vives?

It's been a while since I took Spanish, but I think it is ?Donde vives? I don't have the Spanish punctuation on my keyboard, but the ? mark in front of Donde should be upside down and facing the other way. Donde means "where" and vives ( the "you" form of the Spanish verb Vivir, which means "to live") means "you live". I think the word "do" is already implied. So ?Donde vives? literally translates as "Where do you live?

Everyone mentioned the informal question by using the "tu" form. The formal version, which only exists in Spain, if I'm not mistaken, uses the "Ud." form.

¿Dónde vive Ud.?
