This might surprise some, but I read it at least once a week. Somrtimes more often if someone quotes something that doesn't seem right. Ho ho, guess now the old "atheists don't know the bible so they can't answer this" ruse won't work anymore!
Why do I read it? So I have ammunition. Hee hee...
I'm really not that mean, am I?

I am Catholic and I read it at Mass a few days a week.
I used to read it more often and I miss it. I Always meditate on the scriptures that I have memorized. It is amazing how it can be fresh and new after reading it all of these years.
It is the Living Word of God. Thank You for the reminder. I will read a scripture passage before going to sleep tonight.
God Bless You, ;-)

Not as often as I used too..busy. But when I do read the bible..especially when I was reading it everyday...it proved a good source of knowledge. God answers prayers in unexpected ways. One day I was going through some trials and had been praying. I picked up my bible and randomly opened it...ironically to a chapter addressing exactly what I was going through. It is gods handbook to life, and should be respected.

Every day. It is without question the best source of wisdom and guidance that we can look to. One huge mistake many make is that they judge the bible by the actions of many in Christendom. They should not because Christendom doesn't use it, and certainly do not apply it. The best advice?
Read God's word that holy bible daily!

the bible is not true. that is typical from someone who has never even read it. What a fool that person is. they have no opinion of their own they sheepishly follow somone else's point of view without first examining all the available evidence.
Every day we should read the bible. to keep us focused on spiritual things.

Never read it - but I've heard that it's a gripping story ...
Go see 'THE BRICK TESTAMENT' on the web for the funny but horrific side of what is in the testaments ... Perhaps it's just as well that the majority of believers don't enforce the bible literally ... but they used to !!!!
Any idea who God's ghost writer was ?

Depending on what I'm doing, anywhere from a couple of times a month to multiple references in a day. I do it because my thesis is on the east-west religion connections, and the Bible is a pretty major reference in it.

Every so often. So that I can check references with people who I am debating the Bible with.Over all, however, I only read it because I want to know more about why people believe in it.And not to sound like a total jerk, but I do it so that I can show them why it makes no sense and is just a crutch.

Not even once in my life. Because I have more interesting and useful reading material waiting in my nighttable, and I don't have the time for it.
