She has been waking up every half hour, and is sooo tired, but miserable. What can my husband go buy her to help her feel better and get some rest? Thanks.

When my daughter is sick with a cough I like to use Triaminic cough syrup and the coughing strips that you put on their chest. For the fever I use Tylenol every 6 hours and Motrin every 4 hours. Try giving her a bath in luke warm water with that vaporizer bubble bath from Johnson and Johnson. Feed her chicken and rice soup with crackers!!!! This has always worked for me!!!! Good luck!!!

My 5 year old son has had the same problem since he was a baby and my 3 yr old daughter has the same problem. They have been checked and the problem is allergies. The reason they only cough at night is because the sinus drainage is worse when they lie down. We have to give them allergy medication everynight about an hour before bed , if we don't my son coughs so hard he starts gagging and gets sick. You need to have her checked by a doctor and see if it's allergies.

I've used Delsym for my daughter, and it truly works. It's on the expensive side, but it's worth it. Bit of advice though; if the Deslym doesn't work, I'd probably be inclined to think she has Bronchitis. That is the only time in 2 years that Delsym didn't work for my daughter. It does sound like your daughter's cough is pretty serious. Keep checking her breathing. If she's retracting at the ribs or seems to be struggling to breathe at all, I'd head to the ER. I hope it's nothing serious and that your baby feels better soon. GOOD LUCK!

I don't like to go to the doctor every time my child has a cough or sniffle, but if the symptoms have persisted for more than a week you should definitely take her in to see her doctor just to be sure. Chances are it could be nothing serious, but she could have a cough due to bronchitis, pneumonia, allergies or asthma. Best to not worry and just get it checked out.

I would take her to the doc she could have whooping cough. You can get all natural remedy from Melaleuca. They really good stuff. You would need a membership number to buy from them.

I would try a humidifier, a good decongestant, and some vicks vapor rub on her chest. If it doesn't get better soon, then I would take her to the doctor.
