Ok, he's getting out of prison next week nad he'll be needing a place to stay after he get's out of the half way house. he was sent up for Armed Robbery and Atempted Murder. I don't think he'll hurt me or anything like that and he is an awesome shoplifter. I could really use some stuff around the house like a new TV and a DVD player and I know that he couldprobably steal some good ones. Should I look past his crimes?. He is my brother and I really would love to have a Hi-Def tv and I could probably get some money from the government for letting him stay here. And besides if he gets caught later on he'll get sent back and I'll have some new stuff. What do you think I should do?

Sounds like youve already made up your mind. Maybe he didn't like prison and doesn't want to go back. Therefore stealing might not be an option for him.

You should let him stay because he is your parents son the same as you.

If you want a stolen DVD TV etc buy it from someone who you don't care about and let them go to prison when caught. Dont force your bro back into anything that will put him back in the slammer.

Show him another way to make cash.

Are you freaking real,he needs someone that will show him by love and understanding that he needs to change his life for the good (and I am a firm believer ,even with his record, that can be accomplished.)All that your concerned about is what he can do for you, and illegal to boot. You should be trying to help him turn his life around, not try to put him back behind bars. By your question you don't care if he goes back or not. What you should do is do him a favor and stay away from him, because it's sure plain to see that you don't love him .Go out and get a job and buy your own stuff, instead of wanting to use your brother to do your dirty work.I do pray your brother will see the light and makes a better life for himself.

Hi mrharders,
OMG wtf kinda brother are you?
Most prisoners deserve another chance at life (except murders & child pedophiles)! But if your married or have kids you should take a good LQQk before you leap. Did you ever hear the word pay for what you buy? Yes I am very aware you need a new Hi def- TV & DVD but why would you even consider having your own brother steal knowing he could return to prison-you better go visit him if he goes back to prison cause in my eyes you helped with his return..besides if you get $$ from the goverment good way to pay for what you want! I am so glad I am not your brother or sister!!!

It looks to me that you are only going to help send him back to prison...shoplifting will violate his parole. If you are sincere in helping your brother, let him find his own place to stay and stand on his own two feet like a man. There are services available to help him find a place to stay while on parole. I did 17 1/2 years and am on parole now, I know that he can get the assistance to find a place to live. he certainly doesn't need any help from someone who wants to use him badly and get him put back in the joint.

No don't let your brother stay with you. He isn't even out yet and your already planning his next crime spree. Give him the chance to try and go straight. Plus receiving stolen goods is a crime and could get you busted as an accomplice because no one is gonna believe, "But Officer...my unemployed ex-con of a brother told me he found that HDTV.".

And you can go to jail for receiving stolen property!- you want him to continue crime for your personal gain- you don't give a crap about your brother- just what you can get out of it!!! He needs to be influenced in the right direction- and no help from u !Sheesh! D

Do you love your brother?

It appears that you don't care what happens to him, as long as you can get new stuff out of his bad decisions.
