If you look at my ID here on Yahoo you will see that I am a United States Army Military Police Soldier.
I will soon no longer be one.
Within the next few weeks I will be transitioning out of the Army.
When I do, I will no longer have a job or a home.
The conversion van I’m having re-built is about 2 months past due on completion.
I will most likely have to live out of that van with my cat.
I have already had to live out of a conversion van once before when I was 31 – 32 while going through a divorce and bankruptcy for over a year just outside the city of Detroit, Michigan so this, unfortunately, is nothing new for me.
It took a long time after that for me to sleep easily because you wake at the slightest sound never knowing if someone may try to break into your vehicle and harm you when they find you.
I still sleep with a pistol under my pillow.

So, when I leave the Army I will have no job, (yes, I have been looking for one) no home and my van may not even be ready yet.
If you were faced with such trials, would you trust in God?

I am seeing so many offers for prayer and some wonderful testimonies here.
Yes, I ABSOLUTELY trust in the Lord with all my heart.
You see, the last time God dismanteled my life like this I had gone back home to Maine to live with my mother and I couldn't find a job that would pay enough for me to live.
I was thinking to myself one day "Gee, I'm starting all over like I was 18." "I really should do it right this time." "I wish I had been allowed to join the military back during Desert Storm but I couldn't because of the $2,000 I had on a credit card I couldn't afford to pay off and they wouldn't let me enlist." "I wonder if I'm too old?"
That day happened to be MONDAY SEPTEMBER 10, 2001......
9/11 happened the next day and that was when I heard the alarm going off in my head telling me it was time to get to work and I hit Basic Training just after my 33rd birthday.
The Lord certainly knows what He is doing.
Thank you everyone for such wonderful testimonies.

I put my question this way because I wanted to give people a chance to testify and show their faith.
And so many of you have stepped up to bat and have done just that.
Firemirrage, Doktordbe, Kingdom Come, White Horse, Magen, Kow Boi, Becca S. Andy T. and the lady semi driver (your name doesn't display).........I thank you all for your testimonies and prayers.
Yes, I too love and trust God with all my heart and will trust Him as the beasts of the fields trust in Him to provide for them.

I was homeless, in the winter, with a baby, no job, no car to even live out of and trying to go to school. It was actually during that time that I really FOUND God. So, I would have to say yes, I would trust in Him during trials such as the one you are facing. Without Him I don't know that I would have survived what I went through. My son and I were homeless for a total of about 6 months, during which I walked around everyday - rain or shine - literally beggin for jobs. For a short time my son ended up in the hospital with a serious illness that took the life of a friends baby only months before. Also, during that time I began to notice my son having seizures and he couldn't eat baby food (I had to make my own) and some other abnormal behavior. What a blessing it was to get our apartment and move in on his 1st birthday! Soon after that, though, he began therapy - I found out that he has Asperger's Syndrome, Sensory Intergration Disorder (which is why he couldn't eat baby food) and mild seizures. Before my son had turned 1 and we got our place to live I had given him CPR between 3 and 5 times. I was 18 years old at the time. I don't think I would've ever came out of that alive had it not been for God.
I am sorry to hear of the trials you are facing right now and would like to pray for you, if that is alright. it just so happens that my church is having an awesome conference this weekend, if I have your permission I would like to ask a few of the ladies to pray with me for you tomorrow while I am there. If you can please email me and let me know if that would be alright - you can email me through here.
God bless.

It is a shame that one who is making such a sacrifice for the country is not offer greater compensation......
Though I would certainly say you can trust God.....He said to His disciples, "The Son of man does not have a place to lay his head..." God will always provide what you need....He said, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you."
And don't ever be ashamed of a situation like that....for you are in Christ!! And as it is written, "Many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first." And as Paul wrote, "16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. "
The end of all things is near...so set your eyes on things above, not below....do not lose hope.
I have said a prayer for you.

Most people don't really believe the Bible so they don't trust in God. If they did, why don't they believe Psalms 146:3, 4? "Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing." (NIV) Why don't they put their trust in God's Kingdom rather than worldly ones ruled by Satan? "We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one." (1 John 5:19) "And in the days of those kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall the sovereignty thereof be left to another people; but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever." (Daniel 2:44 ASV) "After this manner therefore pray ye. Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth." (Matthew 6:9, 10 ASV) Obviously, most so-called Christians put their trust in nationalism and military might, not God, not Jesus Christ, nor God's Kingdom of which Christ is King.

God helps those who help themselves. From what it sounds like you are doing just that, helping yourself. That being said I will pray that God should answer your prayers, even if your not praying, to help guide you through these tough times in which many of us have gone through in our lives but with different stories and situations. Keep fighting the good fight and never give up. Trust in God and trust in yourself. Good luck.

I guess it would depend on how you define "God."
Some see the Divine as a specific being that is omipotent and omniscient.
Others see the Divine as an all-encompassing essence found within and without us and all creation.
Still, others do not recognize the Divine. Although they do not realize it, "God" becomes an absence.
Actually, despite these ways of defining "God," the Divine is always present (even when It is in the form of an absence), always watchful. Whether or not you trust in God is irrelevant---He trusts in you.

"Footprints in the Sand"
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many Scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life, there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?"
The Lord Replied, "The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you."

Abolutely. When else are you gonna trust Him?
God says that when we are weak, then He is strong.
When everything in life is going well, we forget to seek and trust Him. That is the secret, you see, to trust Him no matter what.
I guarantee that if you put your life in His hands, you will see miracles preserved only for you!
I will say a prayer for you now. God loves you !

I trust God, but he expects me to take care of myself. Get in touch with a church, one that practicises what it preaches and see if they can help. There are also organizations. I think many of us don't realize that there are people in your situation. If you were in the Kansas City area, I'd speak to my church about the need to provide for you, hopefully someone there would do the same.
