Are there any christmas activities/events/parades in Los Angeles?

I will be staying in Los Angeles over christmas. Is there any free activities/events/parades that are held during the christmas season?

Apart from the Rose Parade (Jan 1st), I do not know of any well known events ... LA Times' Calendarlive site has the best info on all events. The Hollywood Christmas Parade even though the name says Christmas occurs at the beginning of December.
