the palio scores in terms of mileage and looks, and is a great car to drive but the maruti has more space, comfort and a higher resale value.

Look at your personal driving style and circumstances to make a decision. The WagonR has more pep and better mileage and great steering, but is very cramped, has a so-so suspension, and suspect dynamics on the highway. The WagonR comes with maruti's excellent service back up.
The Palio is sluggish (NV version) when you start off but has good power delivery at higher speeds, and is spacious, and has great highway dynamics. It is hard to take u-turns in the city on small roads where it feels like a larger car. The palio has Tata's service back up now, but really, would you trust an italian car in Tata service hands? If you were considering the Fiat Palio, I would ask you to test drive the Tata Indica Xeta or the Indica Turbo. Both cars come with suspensions that are perfect for India, and have a lot of space. They dont look so good with those wheel arches and bumper, but that is something to live with. They are very cheerful on the inside.

Ofcourse Fiat Palio wins the race. Do not worry much about the resale value since the second hand market is already down and none of the cars would get a good deal. Now since Palio comes with a good discout package, go in for Palio and enjoy the comfort and the ride.

Hi sajal..

Well both are best in there category..But if would to choose then its WAGON R the best reason is that its one of the best sellers in INDIA today.U would get service station for MARUTI at every next door..

Compared to that Fiat has lots of porblem in there service and also engeering..and also theres no great resale value for FIAT...

Rest is your choice..

Bye Bye
