There excessively watery, it looks like he's been crying :(

Chow Chows sometimes have entropic eye lids..His eye lid may be turned a bit, and it scratches his eye..this really needs to be examined by a vet, as the irritation causes cataracts..You can see what I'm talking about here. >> http://www.upei.ca/~cidd/Diseases/ocular%20disorders/entropion.htm

he probably has a hair in his eye. do you notice how sometimes there is goo by the corner of your dogs eye take a tissue and wipe it off that could be the rason it's eye is just irritated from having stuff stuck to the side of it's eye.

yes it is normal for your dogs eyes to water. it is your dog's protection against eye infection. once in a while take a damp cloth and clean around his eyes to remove all the debris his eyes have discarded .sonia
