I have a 2 year old female English Black Lab. Shes the perfect pet for so many reasons: she weighs 50 pounds (which is the perfect size for a dog, as far as I'm concerned,) is lazier than any lab I've ever come across, loves cats and little kids, listens to everything unless theres a squirrel involved, and gets in the bathtub when theres a thunderstorm. If theres anything cuter than a dog huddling in the bathtub to get away from thunder, I can't think of it.

I have a german shepard and a west hiland white terrier, they are best buds. The westie is 3 the shepard 2 and the little ones the boss. The westie will "tell" on the shepard for things like running into the creek or taking a rawhide chew away, by howling in a "talking" fashion. The shepard watches over or should I say follows the westie everywhere. They miss each other terribly if one is somewhere else. They sleep in my bed and are my new set of kids since mine are grown. The westie will run from time to time and is fondly known where I live by neighbors and business people, the $1000 invisible fence works great, don't you think!?

mickey was our toy poodle, but he definitely didn't look like one (he was a boy for crying out loud, and we were determined to make him look like one!).
he and i used to have this little game. if we passed each other in the house, i would stop and say "miiiiickeyyyy..." and then he would stop, and i would slowly come at him like i was a monster or something, and he wouldn't move until the moment i was like "raaaar!!!" and every single time he would flinch, even though he knew the raaar was coming.
and he also saved my grandpa's life once. when my grandpa was living with us, he started to have a seizure. the rest of the family was all over the house, minding their own business. then all of a sudden mickey came into the room where my grandma and i were, and he just looked really agitated, and he kept pacing and whining between my grandpa's room and the room we were in. so we followed him and found my grandpa having a seizure (which was on top of many other health problems he was already suffering from), and if mickey hadn't been there, we wouldn't have found grandpa until it was too late.
so that's what i love about my dog...but this isn't even half of the stuff i love about him! unfortunately mickey died this past summer, and i am very sad :(

I own a pug named Blackdoggie. I love the expressions on his little face. I also own a JackRat who is extremely hyper but very sweet. Yesterday she jumped on to the couch and leaned against a pillow....it looked as though she was standing up. She sat that way for the longest time. So cute.

Dawg was pit bull & shepard mix.my family and I were camping, a park ranger was comeing up on us, out of the woods, dawg, which was his name, got behind him barking, and this man was so scared he was running in place and didnt notice.poor fellow..another time.I hollored for dawg,he always came, when I called him. but no dawg, I heard the crunching of bones in the lake,in all the weeds and plants on the side of the lake, the sound came from there, I knew a n allagator was chewing on my dog, so I got a sharpened stick I had, and with my wife behind me with a flash light in the water, I kept pulling back the weeds waiting to see a gator chewing on my dog,, I pulled back the tall lake plants, there was dawg chewing on a possom, poor possum.
