Is it John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

There are several places where it is stated that our works and deeds should bring glory to God. Of course you already know that Jesus is God and the God is also Jesus. And likewise, the Holy Spirit is there too.
The list I could give you would be very long so here are two;
1Corinthians3:13-15 Talks about Every man's work and how it will be tested.
Colossians3:17,23,24 Talk about whatsoever we do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord..... knowing that of the Lord, we shall receive the reward of the inheritance for we serve the Lord Christ.
Another step for your would be to go dig into a Topical Reference Bible or get a hold of a "Strong's" Exhaustive Concordance.

I would hold off on the meeting. I would do it as you are led by the holy ghost. Pray about it so that when the time comes God can speak through you. The scripture you really need is Roms 10:9-10. If they are saved and confess than great. Than the next thing is to get them in a church to grow and learn. Our job is to plant the seeds and let God tend to it. Your best bet is to as the Word says believe all things. If they say they believe than you have to believe the words from them. After that just pray that men and women of God will surround them and befriend them so that they can see the Christ in them. As for you you just be led by God. We must be like lambs but also like wolves. We want to be innocent but also wise. Showing them revelation stuff is a sure fire way to scare them. For babes in Christ I would start with the Gospels, Psalms and Proverbs. Give them principals and foundations first. Taking them to revelation and fiery lakes and end times might be something you may want to reconsider. Hope that helps. Be blessed.

Let it go honey. People don't want to hear that. Besides, the Bible did say no man shall know the minute nor the hour and this stuff has been predicted over all the centuries over and over again. You won't convince you friends and family, they will resent being preached at. Make your peace with what you have to make peace with and let them find their own way. But your heart is in the right place and I commend you for that. Rg

11For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work. 14If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. 15If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames. (1Cor 3)

16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
(2 Cor 4)

Is it one of these?

I'm not sure, I don't quite remember a verse like that. Things of this earth are nothing, and will all be gone. Living for Christ is eternal. You can't get into heaven by doing good things only.

Because when we go to Heaven to be with Him, spirit-done things are the only things that are going to be eternal. God is a Spirit and only spirit will matter. These natural things that we do here on earth are only vapors that will evaporate in time. But it is only the Word of God that will last forever.

I Cor 13 says that all "good works" will be as "filthy rags" but that says that you have to do things "in love" and not specific to Christ so may not be what you're looking for.
