No, there is a process that we call decomposition...that is if the body isn't preserved quickly, and if the animals dont eat your ears off your body will rot. Generally, your ears will not curl up for I have seen dead people on many occasions, and their ears have not curled up. Best of luck in search of your answer. PS: Do you know of any good meatloaf recipes?

Yes, in some instances they do. As an inpatient hospital hospice nurse, I have seen it time and time again people who s ear lobes are bending or curling up pass soon after. A co-worker pointed it out to me early in my Hospice career. We have critical care patients that usually come from the ED or ICU and are not with us very long. Such a weird and fascinating phenomenon that I am just now trying to find out why. I had a family member to ask me and I never really stopped to think about "why" I just always knew it as a sign of impending death.

Ha! I've never heard of that! Maybe that's what happens to good witches when they die, since the bad witches feet curl up. (remember the wizard of oz?)

Being a nurse I've seen a number of deaths, and never have I seen anyone's ears do anything. Hope that helps you.
