I've never had one of those drug screenings at any job, but I'd assume the tests only screen for the presense of CERTAIN substances. For example: marijuana, cocaine (in its various forms), heroin, opium, lsd, etc. etc.

There's certainly nothing wrong with taking prescription medications, as long as they're legal! ;) For example, I take meds for my asthma, acid reflux, and ADHD/anxiety. I really don't think any drug-screening employer would care about those! *chuckle* And if they do, they can take it up with my doctors!

Pre employment drug screening involves screening of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, opium, lsd.If you are found taking these drugs then they will not hire. But I think you should take all your medications for your screening and explain them that you are taking them by doctors prescription

It depends on the meds. Let them know what you are taking so it doesn't interfere with the screening result.

Yes. I recently asked my doctor the same question. If you are taking an antidepressant or over the counter meds no problem. Now if you are prescribed Marijuana for your cataracts....be for warned! Ha!
