I certainly hope that the Christian ones are.
I'm a Pagan, and I've had enough of a theocracy. A government sanctioned church and belief system is not what this country is about. Freedom of religion is being attacked constantly with this administration. Non-Christian soldiers killed in action are prohibited from even having their emblem of faith on their tombstones. Non-Judeo-christian churches are prohibited from participating in Faith-Based initiative programs. Religions with a different structure than Judeo-christian ones are often prohibited from being officially recognized.
We need change. We need a government that is Of, By, and For the PEOPLE, not Of, For, and By the christian god.
While our government should represent the people, and while our people may be religious, the government ought to recognize and reflect the fact that there are many systems of belief, or non-belief. Laws oughtn't to favor one system over others. I have no problem with religion being taught in schools, as long as it is taught that any one religion is simply one viewpoint, and a sample of religious views are taught. Religion is an anthropological study. When it crosses the line into theology, I have a major problem. As soon as apublic school teacher says "you must be saved", or "jesus is the only way", he or she has crossed the line and need to be sacked.
I'm glad that the current administration has brought to light the theocratical basis of the Republican Party, and that people recognize the evil inherent in that system.

I sure hope so, I am so sick of seeing all those commercials on TV saying they should be elected because of their "upstanding" christian beliefs. That only leads me to believe they are not as intelligent as they should be if they are going to have a part in running our country. They should be talking about their education or actual qualifications for the job instead of their beliefs in such a silly concept as the existence of a god. But anyway, I got off subject there, sorry. YaY Democrats!

The Evangelicals will keep on Bible thumping. But, with good ole George out of the pix (2 More years! I am afraid), they will not have all this government support. Thank goodness alot of ''his people'' will be kicked out of office on November 7th!!!!!

Yeah, I am scared. Especially about the '08 presidential race: To whom it may concern, if Hillary Clinton gets elected, I'm leading a group that's moving to China. Let me know if you want to join.

Let's get the facts straight
Since Bush has been in office MARRIAGE has declined from being over 50% to UNDER 50%
So much for "family values!"
That's Bush's legacy
That's his report card!
When CLINTON was in office 50%+ were married
When Bush left office less than 50% were married!
