it depend on my mood and circumstances, mostly I just talk to him like my best friend. with he is.
I talk to him silently, and I talk to him out loud, some time i shout just for the joy of it and sometimes in my need, which ever way I do it He always hears.

Heres the way Jesus taught us by praying the Lords prayer. Also peter never said teach us How to pray he said teach us now to pray. (luke 11:1)This is an easy way to remember. F.A.C.T.S.
Faith (Believe in God) Adoration (let him know how much you love him and how great he is.) Confession (tell God your sins and that you are sorry for them) Thanks Giving (Thank God for all that he has given you) Supplication ( Big word - just dont be afraid to ask God for what you want and need.) After you learn to do this, make sure to follow these 4 steps. 1. Make the paradigm shift.(FACTS) 2. Confess your sins daily.(Matthew 6: 14-15) 3. Get into the Bible. 4. Discover your secret place to pray and flush out the world. 5. Make Prayer a priority.(Matthew 7:24) I dont care if you vote favorite answer, just tell me this wal helpful.
Peace. jason

Your prayer should be personal. There are many different kinds of prayers. Personal prayer, such as morning and evening prayers should be formal prayers, on your knees in a place where you are away from others. Do not pray for the glory of man, keep one eye on the glory of god. There are informal prayers you can say throughout the day. Just fix your mind on the Lord and go for it. These I call secret prayers. There is no wrong way to pray, as long as you are praying with the intent of communicating with the Lord and not for your own glory.

Well, Jesus tells us how to pray in the Book of Matthew, Chpt. 6, verses 9-13. I pray to God while I am driving to work every morning. I pray at night while I am dozing off to sleep. I pray to God when I get up early on Saturday morning and walk around the yard. One thing that I do to help to organize my prayer time is something that I call ACTS. I learned it from my brother-in-law.
A - Adoration, tell God how much you love, adore, worship, and praise His name.
C - Confession, confess your sins
T - Thankfulness, thank God for all of your many blessings
S - Supplication, bring your petitions and requests before God - tell God what you need and even what you want. This can cover ground from asking for help with your finances to asking for opportunities to share God's love with others.

I pray in different ways at different times. But I do not pray out loud in the open. I may kneel or sit or stand. It may be a silent prayer, a wordless prayer, meditation, or a formal prayer, or a softly spoken prayer in private.

God hears you no matter what whether you shout at God at the top of your lungs, or if you do it in the silience of your own heart. The only thing is it has to be sincere. You heart has to be in it.
Now personally, i like to just talk to God, without the formalities. Thats usually when God reveals most to me.

I pretty much go outdoors--ya know all that nature stuff--and just talk--sometimes I just drive to work and talk--sometimes I stand in the shower and talk--I kneeled once and prayed---didn't work-my sister and brother still died--now I just talk.

My prayer is sometimes silent, sometimes spoken, never disrespectfully shouted. It is always one of two prayers, the first is "Thank you" and the other is "Thy will be done".
Anything more than that and you show distrust for the Creator, or indicate that you think you are smarter.

Usually through a chant, and occasionally through a full ritual.
For a "spell-on-the-go" as I like to call it, I think out exactly what I'd like (please let the bus be running on schedule), and address the Lord and Lady quietly with a sincere request.
I find that communing skyclad brings me closer to nature, and thus, closer to the Lord and Lady, but running on the way to the bus stop naked isn't exactly appropriate. ;)
