Glad you got that off your chest. I knew you could do it. You did it well, too.

How is it you think that it is only you. You can not do it on your own. This is why you are hostile and angry because of your overall frustrations that everything is on you shoulders. It is not true. The great thing about God is that if you ask him he will take from you, for you. My question is why are you so scared to admit that there is a God and that He is in control. Is it because you are afraid to let go of control? You know most of the people that are insane are agnostic or atheist. True fact. and your right if you hear voices other than you own you need help. Do not be afraid of God he will not hurt you.

Well If so many people people over the ages and all over the world experience the same feeling of Hope and peace and the guidance of Jesus, dont you think that theyre might be some sort, maybe a little validity behind it? We are not scared to see that it is us, because we know that it is not us.
2 Corinthians 4:7
For we have this treasure in Jars of Clay to show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us.

Have you ever heard voices in your head? Have you ever been insane? If not then how can you say for certain what is real and what is not? I believe that God puts us here, gives us the rules, and only intervenes when we ask him too. Otherwise you ARE on your own. What you do and say and think they are up to you but in the end after you die God wants you to know that you will be judged according to how you live your life. Here are the rules to get into heaven now be good or be bad it is your choice. This is Gods message and promise to you. Game on...make your move.

Yes maybe it is only me that does everything. My destiny is the result of my choices. I think Jesus' teachings are perfectly rational and wise so I generally follow these guidelines. The people locked up for insanity are irrational in my opinion.
Try it out for yourself. Follow the teaching of the insane for a year or so, then try Jesus' teachings for a year or so. Let us know how you made out, OK?

If you're not a Christian, sometimes it's hard to see why we believe what we do. I am proud to say that God is a big part of my life, though, and I'll do my best to address some of the questions that you brought up.
"You and only you make up your destiny, and that JESUS and GOD have nothing to do with it."
It is true that our choices shape our path in life. Hardly anyone's going to argue with you there. However, my destiny isn't controlled only by my decisions. Many external factors influence it as well-- other peoples' choices, unplanned events such as illnesses, and even just events or circumstances that change my view of the world. I believe that it is God who controls all these things. He has a plan for all of us, a plan sometimes our choices work against. But He can make it all work out for the good in the end, and I believe He does do that. I look in my life, and every time someone else says it's just a coincidence, I see God's hand in my life. How else could everything work out so perfectly in the long run, every time? Besides, to me, it's an extremely bleak world where everything is random chance and there is no meaning or overarching plan. I would sooner see my Creator, who knows and loves each human on this planet, giving me opportunities that allow me to grow and make choices.
"All you Jesus believers all say that GOD or JESUS gives you the freedom of choice but they fill your spirit with what is right or wrong."
True; my conscience is a valuable guide for me. God doesn't give us rules or a sense of right and wrong for no reason. His rules make sense; they are there to protect us, protect others, or make the world a better place. He did, however, give us free will. We can choose to go against our conscience, our guide to what is right and wrong. Each time we do this, the call of our conscience grows fainter and fainter until we can barely hear it. It is possible to ignore and eventually silence the innate and God-given sense of right and wrong. But think about it... wouldn't it be better if everyone did what is right? God shows us what He wants, which is always what is best in the long run. We don't have to listen to Him. Thus, freedom of choice, with a God-given sense of right and wrong.
"Most people that are locked up for insanity suffer from delusions and believing that they hear "voices"... it is only you you hear..."
Very, very few people can hear God's voice directly. Christians do not hear voices inside their heads telling them "do this" or "don't do that". Rather, it is an understanding that comes with asking God to help you, and with opening your mind to how He might be telling you. In 1 Kings 19:11-13, (look it up on www.niv.org if you don't own a Bible), the prophet Elijah finds God not in the powerful wind, not in the earthquake, not in the raging fire, but in the gentle whisper that came after. It is in this gentle whisper that God speaks to us. I hear God's voice through my conscience, and through what many people would call "coincidences", like when I need reassurance and an old friend calls me on the phone, or when I suddenly see how something I once saw as negative becomes a positive. I see reminders of His love in the beauty that I see around me and the peace that I can find within me if i just let Him guide me through life.
Have you ever had the feeling of "I just can't do this on my own, I'm not strong enough"? I get that feeling a lot. It is those times when I reach out and ask God to help me. He always does help, too-- not by miraculous intervention, but by giving me the strength to go on and gently nudging me in the right direction. I honestly am not quite sure what I would do without Him in my life.
Here's another thing to consider. What's wrong with us believing that an omniscient, omnipotent, and benevolent God is in control rather than us nearsighted, weak, and often petty humans? If you're right and either there is no God, or He doesn't take action in our lives, then we Christians are all "suffering" from a delusion that brings us peace in a world of chaos, help in a time of need, and allows us to treat others with more respect and love (or at least, TRUE Christians will treat each other with respect and love. Those that say they follow Christ but don't show it in their lives are an entirely different matter, one that I could go on for a long time about, but not in this post). Is that really such a bad thing? Truly think about it... are you so sure you WANT to control your life, with the limited knowledge that we have as mortal human beings?

Apparently about 1.7 to 1.8 billion people disagree with you. These people believe in Jesus. Another 1.3 billion are Muslim. To suggest that these people are delusional is absurd, not to mention academically bankrupt.
Of course you are entitled to say what you believe. This is called freedom of speech and I served 10 years in the military to defend and support it.
May I suggest that you do some research into various belief systems and the results of those belief systems in today's society.

How will you explain all of that to the psychiatrists and the priests and the "closed minded"? You may be right Kristina43, but how will you convince everyone??
Tough challenge isn't it? Just to believe that it is only you....is difficult enough, let alone to explain that the results of every action you take is only going to affect you.

If I had to depend on JUST myself for everything that happens to me during my entire life, I would be screwed! Actually, I would be dead by now. 3 yrs ago I took 26 different types of pills and begged God to let me die. I woke up 26 hours later and God opened my eyes to Him. I went to doctor and told him what I had done, brought all the pill bottles I used and he said that I should be dead. He consulted with 2 other doctors, ran blood tests, an EKG and urine tests. There were signs that I had these pills in my system and two were very high levels. All 3 doctors told me to my face that I should have died within 1 hour of swallowing these pills. I woke up feeling fine, not even tired. I drove myself to the doctors and back home. Please explain to me and these doctors how I ended up living through that. I believe, I know, that God let me live. I have now put my life in His hands. He doesn't control me like a puppet on strings, I still make mistakes and such but I no longer want to die. God let me live for a reason and I may never fully figure out that reason but while I try to figure out that reason, I will dedicate my life to God and His word. I make myself walk and talk and eat and sleep. But I can only do these things because God created human beings, starting with Adam and Eve and all the way down to my parents and then me and now my son. God created us in a way to have children, He created us with brains that can use logic & reason, (if one is sane), He created us to live and breathe. Without Him, none of us would have ever existed. He doesn't MAKE us wake up every day but by creating us into existence, He ALLOWS us to wake up every day. He allows us to breathe in air and speak with words and walk around and sit down and stand up. What we do with our minds, our body, our thoughts, our actions is by our doing but we should worship God for allowing us to just be.
