I have tried everything to prevent/get rid of/lighten my stretch marks from having my baby, i didn't start to get the until i was 9 months. I used anything you can think of to prevent, and then to get rid of them and ater spending over 300 dollars on finding a soloution, i figured out that nothing works and just to stick with coco butter everyday, you either get them or you don't and when you do, you still can't get rid of them w/o a sergery or exspensive chemical peel. So from my exspeirience don't waste your time or your money. The bio oil did not work for me, over the course of a year of trying everything, my stretch marks are still here, a little bit lighter (not purple, but silver).

Once you get a stretch mark you can never get rid of them. So to minimize your chances of getting them the best way is to keep your skin as moisturized as possible. Go to a drug store or a place like walmart and look for "Palmer's" Coco Butter lotions or creams. They even make one especially for women who are pregnant. It's a little more expensive, but it's made specifically for the purpose of reducing the chances of stretch marks. You can use it too. A lot of guys do. But keep in mind that your skin is made to stretch only so far and the bigger you get and the more you stretch it the chances increase for tearing it. Hope this helps.

Not everyone gets stretch marks. It is not something to worry about. If you have that kind of skin, then any rapid increase and decrease will cause them. If you don't, nothing will.

everyones skin isn't elastic, so when our body is growing at a faster pace than our skin....our skin will stretch....

strech marks are scars from the growth of your body (i.e. pregnacies, gaining weight, puberty)

my friend is skinny/atheltic as heck and she still got streched marks on her legs

but keep working out.....it will help you have a great looking body for anyone to notice those stretch marks! :D

p,s. there are also scar serums that can reduce the effect of stretch marks on your skin
